The City is a real nuisance. There is some really loud, non-stop grinding noises coming from this property that City Utility vehicles are in and out of all the time. What is going on? You are making it impossible to do anything at all of the neighboring houses and properties with this constant noise. Please stop.

Reliable power should be a staple of good city infrastructure, especially as climate changes. Stop blaming Duke. We should not lose power for hours and hours regularly throughout the year. And the same areas of town. It's not a random storm. It is that certain areas of town routinely lose power in such storms. And it's not rich areas like Elm Heights. A good chunk of Park Ridge East and other areas consistently lose power. Please please address it.

With Smith becoming a mess (please address N. Smith too with the State), traffic and speeding only continues to worsen on E. Morningside Drive. Of particular disappointment is the frequent speeding of school and City buses, going far in excess of reasonable speeds with even deadlier vehicles. The small City bus (Access bus or whatever it was called) was going INSANELY quick two days ago. Recent neighborhood chatter: -At the bus stop at Sheffield and Providence this morning I watched a car fly around the school bus while it was fully stopped with its arm out. The car was heading out of the neighborhood. The vehicle was a black Hyundai Veloster, I believe. Very frequently there are kids running across this area, to catch the bus. This driver was reckless, and put our children’s lives at risk. As a mom of small kids I am very concerned with the number of drivers who don’t seem to remember they are in a neighborhood. Those who are against some strategic speed bumps, how do you propose we curb this behavior when a stopped school bus can’t even cause them pause? -I know I have many unpopular opinions such as this one, but, I fully support speed bumps. I know that doesn't ✨solve✨ it but I can't see anything else really being equally as/more effective at this point. -Hear hear! And while we are at it, does everyone know texting and driving is illegal and VERY dangerous? Our house sits high up and we can easily see down onto the road and into cars. We see how many people are doing it. If you’re one of those people, we probably see you doing it. Speeding/being reckless/texting and driving through a pedestrian/bike/pet-heavy area isn’t a problem. Until it is when someone gets struck. Please be mindful!! -I agree, we need speed bumps in this neighborhood. We live on a culdesac and it is frequently a racetrack! -We’d be happy to have speed bumps or strips on Morningside and keep all the kids by the park, crossing the intersection, safe. It’s clear it’s being used as a cut through. Someone flying into their driveway the other day in front of my son gave us a good scare. I know we all get in a rush, but slowing down would do us all some good. There are so many littles and pets in the neighborhood. -Well, since my house has been hit twice in the last 20 years by speeding teens, and the fact that the stop on N Park Ridge and Walpole seems to be ignored more than not, I'm fully behind speed bumps!!!! -Ron Smith" Please let us know what change and enforcement can be coming soon. In addition, the Longview Greenway portion behind Aldi's has now been destroyed? That was a primary bike path for our neighborhood to campus and downtown. When will that be restored? We have hopes speed humps with cut-outs and/or other measures to slow traffic will not only be present there but be present all the way through Park Ridge East for east-west connectivity and safety of children/pedestrians/cyclists.

I tried submitting a few tickets from my iPhone. I got as far as submitting the request and the resulting page said "processing your request" but never gave me a message like when I submit a request from my computer like "your request has been processed" and a ticket number to reference.

The home that I rent had a city rental inspection conducted in November. I was home and neither did the inspector inspect everything that is listed on the pre-inspection addendum nor did they speak with me. There are a few issues that I would have pointed out if given the opportunity. Most notably, as listed in HAND's documentation, it states that All required openable windows shall be capable of remaining open on their own hardware. That is not the case in this home and that was not inspected. Can someone please explain to me what the procedure is for inspections? There are other issues as well that I had erroneously assumed would have been inspected since they are on the list of what is required of a rental property to have in good order. These are not issues that are perhaps directly impacting me at the moment but I do feel strongly that the house should be in actual full compliance so as to protect future renters. Property owners who rent their property should be held fully accountable to what the ordinances stipulate. Is it because of COVID that the inspector spent less than five minutes "inspecting" the entire house? Thank you.

Situation in the McDoel neighborhood. This area is subject to ongoing problems with the homeless population leaving much trash, stealing from our yards, and leaving used needles about. If this was going on in more affluent areas like Sherwood Oaks there would be something done about it but the city has simply not put enough effort into keeping our area safe for the poulation who lives here. The various shelters cannot do much to influence the behavior of their clients. Another issue is that the shelters and especially Shalom Center encourages people to come to Bloomington rather than encouraging other towns to take care of their homeless. We are full of these people and many of us are fed up with their behavior and the numbers of them. McDoel has been an upcoming area with a mix of working class and professionals. Colder weather has subdues the homeless activities but with warmer weather coming many of us feel Switchyard park will again have numerous issues with panhandling and trash and encampments with druggies. There are several encampments in the area populated mostly be drug users. Anything they drag in does not leave and we have some areas of way too much trash. How about some enforcement ?
