There is an invasive vine, possibly grapevine, that is pushing over plants bordering a city sidewalk and at time obstructing the walk. I have cut it back several times; most recently a few weeks ago. Would the city or someone else be able to get rid of the vine and/or cut the greenery farther away from the sidewalk. The sidewalk borders a marsh and is right across from the pond on Tapp, on Adams Hill Circle.

I'm interested in getting a free wood chip drop for area tree companies. I was told there is a city platform to arrange a drop, but can't find it here. Do you know how that is working now days?

My previous roommate stole my cable box and refuses to give it back to me or return it to FedEx. The account is under my name, so therefore it is my property.

Hey All,
Curious about hunting on land owned by the city. There is a small parcel located north of Dillman Rd alongside Clear Creek (39.09384 -86.55440) that I am interested in.
Is any hunting allowed on land owned by the city?

Hello,
I have made a written suggestion today related to the requirement to be present in your Utilities premise (or file a paper form) to request a transfer of billing for water services. I suggested we should be able to do this online...
I had to deal with the same issue today at Duke Energy (tenant left and needed to transferred billing back to me, the landlord). They told me of a very useful process they have setup called "auto turn-on", which lets them know that whenever a tenant requests a turn off, they should actually transfer the service back to the landlord instead of turning it off.
I suggest you do the same thing for the water service!
Thank you.

There is a section of 'street' between Dunn and Henderson that I believe was supposed to be a continuation of E Wilson Street. It is just a grass area that the city owns. However, the city is doing no maintenance on this piece of property. There is a dead pine tree that needs to be removed and a very large maple tree that is overgrown and threatening to drop branches onto cars. This tree also present a health issue in that there is a large poison ivy vine growing up the tree. I have tried calling the city forester multiple times without response. Can the one tree be removed, the other pruned and cleared of poison ivy, and the grass on this city land occasionally mowed?

Hello, I don't know if this is the right channel, but I just want to find more information about turning your house into a multi-familiy property. First if the city of Bloomington allows this, and second how is the process to carry it out. Thank you so much adn have a great day.

Dear John,
I'd like to draw your attention to something that's happening at Walnut Grove apartment complex south of town. Somebody has recently bought it, is raising the rents, and economically challenged people are having to move out with nowhere to go. I run a food pantry there once a month and have gotten to know many of the people who live there and they are angry and frightened. What's happening there may be legal, but is certainly unethical.
I understand that you are interested in creating low income housing, but this is a situation where low income housing is being flipped for a profit and leaving many people literally out in the cold. Please tell me if I have any recourse to help in this situation.
Many thanks,
Mary Blizzard

Today around 5:15 - 5:20 pm I had an unfortunate altercation with a City of Bloominton employee. He appeared to be 5’8” to 5’10” with short black hair, a blue city shirt and dark shorts. He was stopped at the garage near Scotty’s at Walnut and 7th street and had several garbage cans in the back of a City of Bloomington pick up truck as well as another worker who sitting in the bed of the truck with the trash cans. My wife needing to use the ATM stopped the car in the entrance and got out. This employee told her she couldn’t do this, so she said “ok” and got back into the car. At this point, still needing to use the ATM I hopped out to use the ATM myself while my wife circled the block. The city employee at that point moved toward me aggressively asking me several times if I “wanted a ticket”. My wife did not move the car yet because the employee moved in front of our car so rapidly and aggressively that she thought he was going to punch me. I explained that she was going to circle while I used the ATM, and he glared at me and walked away haughtily. I asked him for his name several times and he ignored me. This is unacceptable behavior from anyone, let alone a city employee. I felt threatened by this individual and do not think he should be working for the city I pay taxes to.
