Switchyard Park

There is no maps of Switchyard park. It's not clear where facilities are so you can choose best parking area. Also there should be trail crossing signs on B-line. I walked right into traffic by pavilion, because I didn't realize I was approaching the trail. I thought trail ran along the side of the park, not right down the middle. Permanent signage is needed.

I reported power lines/wires within reach of the sidewalk off Rogers very close to the front of the entrance to switchyard park over a month ago. This seems like a very serious issue. Why hasn’t anything been done about this? Has been like this for 6+ months! It’s sad to think there are people working for the city that see this as anything other than an emergency situation.

Around 6pm on 8/29/22 I was in upper cascade and a man drives a truck right up to me in the shelter house I started to gather my things even though the sign said open I saw the city work flip it to that this morning to open and seen many workers though out the day and was not told about any resuvsions so when they so when they told me they had this for the Bloomington north volleyballso I told him he should have reserved it and you really shouldn't park up here if you're not city, he told me they did reserved it and they just talked to a city worker that it was okay drive up to the sheltet, I told him that the really should have the sign right sorry to bother you and left to go to lower cascade to make this report.

A homeless man seems to be setting up camp in this park. Aren’t some of my tax dollars going to help house the homeless? I am at this park every day and will not be happy if it turns into another park full of homeless people. No problem if they are just passing through like the rest of us, but I don’t want them living here.

Hi, the street tree (Ash) in front of 3111 S Mulberry Lane (Northwest of the driveway) has many low hanging branches that especially when the leaves come back in the spring, which bring the branches even lower, they interfere with pedestrian passing on the side walk or delivery trucks/SUVs passing on the street, potentially also interfere with SUVs driving into/out of the driveway. Can you send a crew to prune the low hanging branches off so that it is safer for trucks/pedestrians to pass? As a preventative measure before the leaves come back in the spring which will bring the branches even lower. From the treekeepersoftware.com, I found the site ID is 36727 Thanks!

Hello, I have a question about the city's pesticide program. I was wondering if fireflies have been taken into account, including how firefly hang out in grasses and, especially, how firefly larvae eat various insects and other creatures that might have ingested pesticides. Since fireflies are diminishing throughout the world for various reasons that seem to be mostly unknown (besides the obvious like habitat loss), pesticide use and light pollution are two theories for why based on current research. The pesticide-use theory links it to a slow diminishment, so still having fireflies doesn't mean pesticide use isn't an issue. I am grateful for the fireflies we have in our area, and this question has been on my mind for a while, so I wanted to check in and see what information you have. I appreciate your time. Thank you, Karisha Kirk
