City events in the summer are hot, the pavement is even hotter. Tons of folks had pets out at the pride event weekend, for example, and they were walking them on pavement in 93 degree weather which makes the pavement over 130°F. Very few of these pets had booties on to walk around and there was little to no water present. Why is animal control not presenting this information about pet safety and temperatures when it is animal abuse to burn a pet’s feet? Please decide to be present and post this information in common spaces for folks to see and increase reminders about pet safety.

Like the Cuba Embassy event such things can make it a night mare trying to distinguish between acts of war and the general common factors . Tree in parkway has a branch that has broken and is hanging down so low that cars are getting hit by it.

The sidewalk in front of 522 S. Park Avenue has consistently had broken glass over the last two weeks. It was partially cleaned but now more glass has appeared. This is a safety issue.

People are camping at lower cascades as well as along the gravel area off of That Road which may be a county issue. However, the campers are spilling into the trail area. It is also starting to smell of sewage in this area as there has been a blue tent on the cliff above the trail for some time. This just off clear creek

600 N. Morton on the corner of the parking lot for city vehicles, there is an abandoned couch just right off the sidewalk. Where the marker is placed according to my screen is precisely where the couch is located.

Around 1901 smithville rd has trump signs on the electric pole. It promotes false information and is an eyesore. Not sure if I needed to contact yall or the electric company.

I am writing you with concerns about work being done around the city by AT&T subcontractors to lay fiber optics cable around the city. Should you talk to individuals in several neighborhoods where they have worked there is dissatisfaction. The subcontractors have at times leaving large scars across the properties of homeowners for which they then failed to make adequate repairs. Part of our sprinkling system no longer works. One of our neighbors has a 30 to 40 foot long scar across the side of his yard and the subcontractors buried both the meter for his water as well as one drain pipe from his gutters (I am including photographs). In talking to the Hallmark Management Corporation, we are not the only homeowners association that has had these kinds of experiences. I have tried to reach out to AT&T and was given assurances that I would hear back from them in an effort to resolve the situation. I have never heard back. I know the representatives from Hallmark have also been trying to reach out to AT&T without success, Can the City help to reach out to AT&T and raise these issues. Power lines have been hanging down within reach on the sidewalk in front of switchyard park entrance off Rogers st for several months. Very dangerous situation!
