Hello, I would like to give feedback on some unfortunate observations recently on Kirkwood Avenue and the surrounding streets. This took place last Friday evening around 8:30. We took a stroll after dinner to walk around the downtown area, and it was the first time in 20 years of living here, I felt unsafe. I witnessed people doing drugs, drinking on the street, and what appeared to be a drug deal, right on Kirkwood. I have to say I have come to expect public intoxication from college age students, but I think the police do a very good job of handling those cases. The people involved in the activities I mentioned are not college students. Most looked like they could be homeless or struggling in some way.
I understand there is no easy solution. These people need therapy, but they have to be willing to try to improve their lives. I'm not advocating arresting the people. I do think a stronger police presence is needed in these busy areas. I'd recommend posting cadets or others in uniforms strategically in the area. Maybe better lighting and security cameras would help.
Thanks,
Aaron Perry

I LITERALLY just chased these punk ass mother fucking kids from my front door. I fell asleep in my front room. I woke up to voices and shadows on the porch. I had an open door, but my screen was shut. Lights were on inside, but the porch light was not. There were three, early 20s, white males. They ran up the street when I came out yelling.

Residents regularly shoot out extremely loud fireworks late at night, usually after 11pm. Brownstone management has been contacted about this, but have not responded or followed up. Noise disturbance has been reported to police, but the situation continues every night. Is there anything anyone can do to stop these people from disturbing the neighbors and their pets? It is unbelievably loud - like cannon-fire - and formally violates State law as these are tenants and not property owners and the explosions are happening after 11pm.

Case #172806 came up as "228 E. Brownstone" when the map was clicked, but the address that appears closer to the actual apartment is "211 E. Brownstone" when Google Maps is used.

Sometime between 12:30 pm and 4:45 today domworipped open a Walmart bag that for delivered and stole a gallon jug of fabuloso.it doesn't seem like a big deal but I've lived here for over 3 years and I've never had anything stolen. I also have other items coming and they cost a lot more. I would like to have someone access those camera and fondnout who stole from me. Thank you for your assistance

I was mowing my yard yesterday evening when I noticed a bicycle left on W. Seventh Street. I did not think about it until I read that the IUPD has had a number of bicycle thefts. So I went out today and the bicycle is still there.
I leaned it by a light pole. It is an older Schwinn, dark blue, 15-speed, without a seat.
Maybe it is one of the bicycles that was stolen.

The tenants of 501 E 7th St and 310 N Dunn St have had daily parties, morning and evening, for several weeks now that involve twenty+ people and loud music audible inside other apartments. Several noise complaints have been made with police each time it occurs, yet police have never actually showed up and the parties continue. They are in violation of Bloomington’s noise ordinance each time, but seemingly the police department refuses to enforce it.

Checking to see if anyone has gone to the residence about the super loud noise coming from there all day and night. This has been on going for weeks now!
