Walked the b-line this am and saw an illegal bicycle chop shop going on under the bridge at grimes and Morton. FYI. Couple of the people working on bikes were displaying large knifes! Not safe at all in this area!!
Is Bloomington just going to ignore the fact that the homeless underneath grimes and Morton have set up a bicycle chop shop? Are we going to pretend the 20-30 bikes and hundred of bike parts their have not been stolen from tax paying citizens?
The situation on the b-line around grimes and Morton is apauling. The city should be embarrassed at how they are handling this. I guess I should say, not handling this. This is not a safe area for anyone!!!! Walkers, city workers, local employers, and even the homeless. When will something be done? When someone gets hurt, raped, or worse dies? If that happens the city needs held accountable in their lack of response!
Businesses are not following mask mandates I have been to rual King, Walmart, kroger west kroger south circle k all have mandate sighs but employees and customers are not wearing masks
As I read this article GOP senators announce bill to block payments to illegal immigrants from separated families, it brought me to petition to give instruction or to inform my elected official's of our constitutional representative republic that as such the city is backing constrictive treason for the support shown in the May 17 2010 notice SB 1070 to seek to conspire to knowing back ILL -legal immigration. The Mayor has the power to start the process to repeal the notice. In doing so will help restore the constitutional order in such matters and displace the unconstitutional strive of plight of danger's of Communistic values & its sister Mob democracy which such a misapplication distorts the sovereignty of America.
National Train a Teacher Day is June 18th, 2022 , in the wake of the rash of school shootings it is apparent the need to petition and instruct city or county officials in regard to the duty to regulation of Miltia for the general common defense of the constitutional represented republic. Our Government is obligated & needs to demand the state team up with retraining Indiana Army National Guard etal and deploy them in our schools along with support from a in house JROTC Armed & trained dogs in schools and every teacher should be armed. The active stance where there should be Armed personal the officials are placating constructive treason and warrant crminal endangerment
Tents are popping up again in Seminary Park and the adjacent open spaces. I cannot believe these are for "Garage sales, religious tent meetings, nonprofit events and political rallies" (City Code), so I hope they will soon be removed.
This will be my FOURTH TIME contacting the city to report this issue. In front of my house, on the city easement, is a grand old hard maple that unfortunately died this past summer. I have reported this to Lee Hoff twice by phone, and this is my second ereport. I have had no response to my ereports and Lee did not put a priority on its removal. Today, in the storms, a large limb fell between my house and the neighbor's, in the parking pad where his car usually is. Fortunately, the car wasn't there, but I can tell that this will be the first of many limbs to follow and we can not assume to be so lucky the next time! As this tree is clearly dead, clearly a city tree, and clearly a hazard, I request that it's removal be expedited before more serious damage, or injury occurs. Hello, Bloomington has a safety problem with its homeless population. Our daughter is a senior at IU, she lives off campus, near downtown. She calls me as she walks places because she is afraid of the homeless and their behavior. This afternoon I received a call to tell me two homeless men were walking through their neighborhood, under the influence, and checking doors of homes as they went through the area. The City needs to address this issue to insure its residents are safe.
Please help local merchants and do something about all the people that have stolen shopping carts all over town. I counted 6 at seminary park alone the other day!!! Contact the police department and give them direction to help address this problem and hold the people stealing shopping carts accountable! From what I’ve heard, the police are currently instructed to not address this issues. The city has an obligation to its (tax paying) citizens to uphold the law!
