Meters, Today is government holiday so I thought the meters would be off. However I found it wasn't the case. Some meters read "free parking" and some read the regular about and running times. I wanted to check to see if your website mention that the meters were running the webpage cited the holidays and dates the meters were off but today wasn't mentioned. I paid $3.00 just to be safe because I rather pay now than have a $50 tickets. However I feel that the meter should be constant and that you web page give a clear answer. Someone in this general area is playing extremely loud music. This began last night at around 1:30a.m. I attempted to call the proper phone number ((812) 339-4477) to file a noise complaint, but the call never connected. I attempted to call three or four times before giving up. Today, it has started again, in the same general area, and again, I was unable to call to file a noise complaint. I have had issues with trying to file a noise complaint in the past - either I get placed on hold for an hour (or until I give up), or the call refuses to connect. I've spoken to others who have described similar issues, so I know this isn't just on my end. There needs to be an online method to file noise complaints since the phone system does not seem to be reliable. Either way, since I couldn't file a complaint over the phone, I am doing so here.

I walk home along Adams St. I've noticed in the wooded area on the east side of the street south of the railroad (in the utility easement) there appears to be a homeless camp setting up.

Greetings. In my experience, as well as observations, it does not appear that there is much, if any, enforcement of the Hands-Free Driving state law that went into effect in 2019 in the City of Bloomington. There also doesn't seem to be much accountability to that law as in my experience, the person who rear-ended me told the BPD officer she hit me because she was looking at her phone, but following too close was on the citation and not distracted driving. Why is that? I was told that he didn't want to put more than one reason down. Well, why not distracted driving as that is what she admitted to? Also, there doesn't seem to be any sort of a public safety education campaign in any way... I could imagine that the social media accounts would be a great place for a weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly Public Safety Announcement (PSA) for some friendly reinforcement, reminders, remedial lessons, etc. about the laws that provide structure around driving a couple ton heavy potentially lethal machine around these safe and civil streets. I think Bloomington motorists need a few reminders on some general laws about operating a motor vehicle, especially the hands-free driving state law. Can someone please speak a bit to this concern of mine? Much obliged for your time.

This man is going to cause an accident or he’s gonna get run over by a car. He’s been on the street corner for well over a year almost every day he’s getting more and more bold going out into the traffic. This is unacceptable behavior if this was IU student in front of a fraternity house on third street, this would never been allowed to go on.

There has been a navy blue trailer parked in front of my house for over a week now. I have never seen anyone get into it and hasn't been moved since it first showed up. Is there any regulations for how long someone can leave an abandon trailer somewhere?
