Is a Permit needed to trench & waterproof a basement in Bloomington?
Is a Permit needed to trench & waterproof a basement in Bloomington?
I am a homeowner here in the city. Unexpectedly my neighbor trenched And waterproofed his basement. The trench was between our houses, Which are close together. I asked him if he needed a Permit. He said no. Is he right?
A house on my street has become a transition house for alcoholic woman. My opinion is that this primarily one-family house has become a hotel. This neighborhood isn’t zoned to all allow businesses. Please put an end to this temporary housing and core-neighborhood encroachment. Than you cc: [email protected], [email protected]
My neighbor just waterproofed house, Dug a trench around the house. Did he need a Permit?
Can you tell me where and when I can find the new UDO document complete with amendments that the council will be voting on next week? thanks
Tenants living in tiny home on wheels outside owner residence. Have been there for over a month
Construction occurring without posted (and valid) permit.

The house located at 2231 N. Martha Street is zoned residential single-family (RS), in the Matlock Heights historic district, but it is being used as a fraternity house (Aloha Kappa Lambda), with attendant problems (noise violations, traffic, trash, etc.). This would seem to be a violation of the city’s zoning ordinance.
I sent this to the info email address as well, but I noticed an open electric box at the Rock Creek Dr. and Childs Ct. intersection in Sycamore Knolls this morning. This is a heavily trafficked route for children headed to school and seems like a safety issue.
