I found one of the mailbox banks (mailbox E) at the Adams Village Apartments was found with the panel doors completely open. I cannot tell if the Post Office person failed to shut the doors or if someone broke into the mailboxes. There is mail for several residences exposed currently.

Hello! I want to report that there is a lot of poison ivy at the NW corner of S Grant and E Allen St, 47401. This is right along the edge of the street on S Grant. We live at 909 S Grant, just up the hill, with two small kiddos, so we're constantly stressed out about balls, etc, rolling across the street and down into the poison ivy patches. I think this is technically right of way/city property if it is this close to the street? Not sure. I remember seeing in the past somewhere to report poison ivy, but now can't find it, so I'm just reporting it under misc and other. If there is any kind of city program to come remove poison ivy, I'd love to see it happen at that corner. There is a ton of ivy growing up a light post on that corner as well, some of it along the bottom might be poison ivy, not all of it is (that is mostly virginia creeper? something like that - the 5 leaf variety.)

I am a neighbor of this address. Twice in the past year, the two dogs who live at this property have been in the street and charged me and my dog. On another occasion, one of the dogs charged the property's fence and attempted to bite me by reaching *over* the fence. I have reported two of these instances to Animal Control. The last time (when the dog attempt to bite over the fence), the Animal Control officer told me that he had explained to the owners that their fence violates zoning by being too close to the sidewalk, and that the owners had expressed an intention to remove the fence in the front and keep the dogs in the back. However, I have heard, "We keep the dogs in the back" multiple times, when that is not true. The Animal Control Officer suggested that I could contact the city's zoning office, to have the fencing issue in the front yard addressed. I cannot find a way to contact Zoning specifically, so I am submitting the request here. FWIW, other people have had encounters with these dogs, though I don't know if they have reported it. Thank you.

We are the 1556 S. Andrew Circle, Bloomington residents. This dead tree belongs to the City and it happened to be located right in front of our house. It really hurts our neighborhood’s green environment. We are encouraged to notify the City in order to remove or replace this Dead Tree ASAP. We tried several calls within the last three weeks, but no one really knows where we need to report. Finally we were asked to contact Mr. LEE from your forest department. But He neither answer our phone call nor response to our messages. We are very upset with Lee’s irresponsible attitude. If this is not his responsibility, he needs to call us and let us know who will be the right person to call. His ignorance to residents’s request is not acceptable. We are forced to write this email and hope City will pay attention to it. There is no too small things can be ignored if City really takes its responsibility. Hope to hear from you soon. So I applied for a gun/concealed carry permit. I paid the fee, then got my fingerprints. They told me to go to a sheriff so I went to the sheriff's office at 301 N College Ave. They said I had to go to the office on 3rd street. I went there and the building was closed so I could not complete my application. What do I need to do from here?

The mailbox post that is shared between myself and two other household (renting from same person) is so rusted that it no longer seems safe. Should the landlord of the two other homes be notified? Who is in charge of replacing it, and how can this be done? It seems that if the very rusty pole is removed, how will the new one be installed? Further up the street, people installed mailbox posts in large buckets of concrete. Does the city really want this? By the way, the property where the post is installed belongs to my neighbors - whose mailbox is on Guy street. I appreciate your help with this matter. Dana

This is a follow-up on my complaint from 8/18, #173408, regarding the noise from the work on the tennis courts. The piercing truck backing-up noise went on late yesterday, possibly until around 8 pm. This morning it began at 6:40 am. Is this not a bit too early? Is 12-14 hours of this noise in a day not excessive? This noise has been going on all week. How much longer will it persist? Speaking with my neighbors, this noise is forcing us to risk covid and go into the office. Is there no way to turn down the volume on the warning beep? As bad as it is for me, I imagine this must cause some loss of hearing and sanity for the construction workers using the equipment.
