Planning staff investigated the fencing at the property today and it was compliant with all City zoning code fencing regulations. The fence was 4 feet tall which is compliant with the height limit of 4 feet for fences forward of the front building wall on the property. There were no prohibited fencing components such as barbed wire. The fence was located on private property. Please consult the City's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Section 20.04.080(n) [Development Standards & Incentives; Landscaping, Buffering, and Fences; Fences and Walls] starting on UDO page 225, pdf page 233 at https://bloomington.in.gov/planning/udo for all fencing standards within the City.

Complaint about fence. I am not sure if the complainant is fully aware of our regulations. If this is 4ft or under it likely would meet code. We can take a look!
