Mike Frey - 317-727-3371 Mike is the owner of Bub's on the corner of 9th Street and N. Morton. The last parking spot on 9th street before you hit Morton has been turned in to a handicap space. According to Mike this space is on a hefty incline that was once riddles with pot holes. He stated that it is smooth, but that it is not an accessible space by any means being on a hill. There are two billboards on this parcel N of our neighborhood entrance on N Walnut St to the W beyond the chiropractor’s office. It appears this parcel was once owned by Hoosier Outdoor Advertising so, I’m presuming that once Steve Ferguson obtained it and Parks and Rec is now the owner that both of these billboards can be taken out and until that might happen at least the one with the lights can have those deactived along with any service. It would be perfect if this area would then be able to gain native trees to add our Tree City USA canopy and Haskell Smith would be able to increase our diversity with new trees followed by native shrubs et al that will be most welcomed over any likely invasive bush honeysuckle et al along this main coordinator into our City and from the N into Cascades Park along the E side of Old State Rd 37 or Dixie Hwy. Thank you for letting me know if I can provide any additional information that might permit this prime cooridor becoming most appreciated and greatly improved with native trees and plants stepping up our Greenspace cooridors W and E along N Walnut Street. Homeless are setting up camp between Crawford Apartments and Timber Ridge
There is a round about on Summit Street and Cottage Grove. The roundabout is completely overgrown and is also covering up the drainage system. It's so high that when kids are riding their bikes and cars are coming around the corner, they almost get hit. It needs to be cut.
To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an ongoing issue with a neighboring property located at 111 W Southern Dr. The resident, Ashley, owns three dogs. One of them, a dog named Ruby, consistently exhibits aggressive and disruptive behavior that has significantly impacted our quality of life. Ruby barks incessantly, often for prolonged periods, particularly when we are outside on our front porch or tending to our garden. Despite multiple opportunities to address the situation, Ashley has made it clear that she does not consider the barking a problem, stating that because it does not bother her, it should not bother anyone else. This dismissive attitude has left us with no reasonable resolution and has effectively driven me away from gardening—a once peaceful and restorative activity for me. In addition to the constant barking, Ruby regularly escapes into our yard, approaching us with hackles raised, barking and snarling aggressively. This behavior is alarming and feels threatening, especially when we are simply trying to enjoy our own property. When anyone walks by the house, even with Ashley present, Ruby behaves similarly, charging at pedestrians and displaying aggressive posturing. I am aware of at least one incident in which Ruby’s behavior caused such fear that she was sprayed with mace. Despite repeated concerns from neighbors, Ashley continues to disregard the issue. She claims the dogs are "working dogs" and that their behavior is normal for the breed. However, they are not being worked, socialized, or exercised in any meaningful way. They are rarely seen off the porch or in environments like dog parks where they might interact with other dogs or people. Given that Switchyard Park is essentially our front yard and a public, family-friendly space, this level of negligence is particularly troubling. I regret not filing this report sooner. I have been patient for years in hopes that the situation would improve, but the lack of responsibility and disregard for the safety and comfort of others has reached a point where formal action is necessary.
