Driving home on I-69, I foolishly decided to stop in Bloomington for s bite to eat. I parked on Kirkwood where another car was parked. I parked at a meter that was not posted "No Parking". I went into a pizza place, ordered, and came back to my car withing 5 mins. I was sitting in the car when a policeman approached. He was very rude, informing me it was a No Parking Zone. It appears I did not see the sign, as it was on the ground, and I should have been looking on the ground before parking. I made it very clear that I was just there for a moment, but still got a ticket. A ticket that had to be paid within a week or it doubled. That's quite a racket you have going there. I learned a very valuable lesson though. Bloomington is not a welcoming town for visitors who don't know the rules. I will not be stopping in Bloomington on any future trips on I-69.

went downtown to shop for the holidays. Was late to the meter by 5 minutes. got a $20 ticket. Goodbye downtown. Hello amazon. Cheaper, easier, and they don't give these outrageous fines. Thought you might want to know. I am sending a letter to the Book Corner, and another to Goods for Cooks, to let them know they will never see me again. Not a great idea on your part, if you asked me. For the sake of downtown and these businesses, I hope I am wrong. But I doubt it.

Citation # Q1500545: I put my credit card into the wrong meter (chose the one facing my parking slot) & didn't realize I had to use Meter/Space Number 102B (because it was facing the other way). When I came out of Samira Restaurant, I still had 16' of unexpired time (in the "wrong" meter). I hope you will understand that I actually did pay for my parking space. Thank you

Parking Violations 814 South Eastside Drive. Every day the illegal number of tenants at 814 S. Eastside Drive block my father's (a senior citizen) ability to get out of his driveway because they are violating parking ordinances (Parking in the street -and extending out of driveways). I am hoping that i can be credited for my lack of action manually deactivating my parking session. I love the app and convenience of using the app for parking. However, the new pricing model requiring a stop action tripped me up...and I think it is more difficult and not as user friendly. my opinion about the parking meters downtown is what I would like to address.I don't like them and think merchants must suffer from lack of business. many times when downtown I leave and go elsewhere due to insufferable parking and difficulty of the meters.
