The path surrounding the parking lot of the Winslow Sports Complex needs to be repaved.
It is worn to the nub, cracked and uneven. It is a hazard to elderly and infirm people (of whom I am one). I walk there every day, several times a day. There are many of us who do this. During baseball games, there are also many parents and grandparents who have to walk this path.
You are just waiting for a lawsuit if this goes unrepaired.
Thank you.

Hello
I am a parent of an IU Ice hockey player. I was wondering if I could get information about what it would take to open the Frank Southern Arena on September 1st vs. October 1st. The players are under a lot of pressure to balance school and ice hockey. During the first weeks of the season, they lose so much time traveling to other rinks to practice. It's tiring and dangerous given their exhaustion. Is there a budget that you would need to achieve in order to afford the opening 30 days earlier than current budget allows. Thank you. There is no rental information for Switchyard Park on the facilities rental page. I also don't see anything about the Twin Lakes clubhouse, which used to be rentable.

Is Indiana Red Basketball affiliated with the City? The Coach, Rob Norris holds practices at the Twin Lakes complex. He charged $700 per player for travel basketball. Because of Covid-19, we only had two practices and no tournaments. He has refused to give a pro-rated refund. He is asking to apply the monies toward next year, or give a donation to Indiana Red. This seems dishonest to me!

We've been bothered recently during our regular evening visits to Switchyard Park to see a significant vagrant population who are smoking, drinking, and we're pretty sure we just witnessed a drug deal at the park pavillion. The police, so conveniently located in the park, need to actually be out patrollimg it!

Hello, I've been trying to book a place for the past week to hold a gathering after i lost someone in my family and i've talked to a few different people to try and book this and ive hit a road block every time. I've asked for help to resolve this matter in a few different ways and the solution is to drive over an hour to book and pay and drive back over an hour to there convenient to make it easy for the person helping me / or not helping is what would say. I think there should a more convenient way that someone on your side of the planet could help other than to say [ no there is nothing i can do] this is a sorry excuse for convenient< id like to know who that convenient word applies to y'all only. bull crap. i can only pray this is resolved ASAP

The idea that Bloomington does not allow basketball or turf rentals at the TLRC is preposterous at this point in the pandemic. The positive case numbers have continued to drop, Monroe County has the lowest positive rate in the entire state, and TLRC has already shown they can operate safely. There is no reason at this point to continually take away opportunities from youth sports in Bloomington. It is long overdue that someone like John Turnbull is held accountable to create opportunities for youth sports instead of continually take them away and claim that "participation numbers are down" that is a direct reflection of the lack of initiative in his department and it starts at the top.
