Our son plays Babe Ruth baseball at Winslow on the Gold Field. We are very unhappy with the lights there. There are several lights burned out on each pole and when the 7:45 game is going on it gets very dark. It is quite dangerous, especially around home plate for the batter, catcher, and umpire. Someone is going to get hurt. If it is our son, we won't hesitate to take action. The lights need to be replaced!

We are wondering if there is a nurse who attends Karst Farm daycamp. Our son has a strong peanut allergy, and is required to carry an EpiPen. According to the authorization form, parks and rec employees are not allowed to administer injections. In our opinion our son is too young to inject himself, not to mention while having an anaphylactic attack he might not be able to think clearly enough to inject himself . So what this sounds like, is if he has an attack then he must wait for the ambulance to show up to inject his EpiPen. This is ludicrous. Please call me back in the morning with some clarification. Thank you.

Hello, I was interested in having my band play a Tuesday afternoon at People's Park. I've searched all thru this website and haven't found any info on who to contact. Even if they are filled up for this summer, I'd still like to know who to speak to about next summer. Thanks, John

I registered for the Homegrown Farm Tour and have realized I can no longer attend so I would like to cancel my two reservations (under my name) and get a refund. I sent an email in a few days ago, but received no reply about the refund. Any information about how to go about canceling my reservation and getting a refund would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I am interested in taking French classes as a non-student. Does Bloomington parks and rec offer any French courses or conversational groups? Thank you! Shannon Stanley

Kitty Robinson and myself have a total of 4 raised garden plots. We are unable to take care of them so if the food bank group wants to go see if there is anything they can get they are more than welcome to it. There might still be tomatoes.

Hi, Is Hilltop still a part of the Bloomingto Parks and Rec. Department? Visited recently and was really surprised to see how far the program has drifted from its original mission as a youth gardening program. With the money provided by Dr. Shalucha and the funds raised for the new gardening house and greenhouses, I feel that the youth gardening program should be the major focus of the garden and not a free family gardening spot. Any way to bring the original Hilltop back? Mary Hursh

Hello. We've been enjoying Ferguson Dog Park with our one-year-old puppy. Thank you! It's a good crowd of dogs (and owners) and, with our tiny yard in Elm Heights, it's been a wonderful place to let Teddy run around. In talking with my many dog-owning/dog-walking/tiny-yard neighbors, we have wondered if it would be possible to have an area of Bryan Park fenced off for dogs. I'm sure cost would be an issue but perhaps Bloomington residents could contribute matching funds? Besides cost, are there other prohibitive restrictions that would make a dog area an impossibility? Thank you for your time. Best, Cate Racek
