If you park in the handicapped parking off Henderson, near the handicap playground, and cross the bridge to the trail that leads to Woodlawn, there is a small hole in that pavement just past the bridge. It's big enough to catch my front walker wheel. Until the other day I always managed to notice it and avoid it, but that day falling leaves had hidden it, and I forgot all about it. Until, that is, my walker wheel fell into it. Fortunately, I managed not to fall and was able to continue walking, but my bones break very easily. I beg you to fill this little hole. As I said, it's just past the bridge, on the way to the walking trail. Thank you.

A tree was blown over. It is currently leaning over the trail, and it seems as though it could fall onto the trail at any time. It's just north of where the small pedestrian bridge is located.

Hi - This structure was built directly on the path that connects Henderson and Walnut. It does not appear to be safe or legal for people to live here.

Several weeks ago I reported that the park has too few trash cans. Having walked this park twice daily since the late 1990's, I suggest that the trend of decreasing the availability of trash cans has reached a ridiculous level. During this winter, it appears there will be only one spot for waste removal for dog waste. I did not get a reply before. Please return trash cans to the tennis courts and please add at least one regular size trashcan for folks who visit and eat in the park. When family visit from out of town, they comment on how weird it is that this park has so few trash cans.

Even on trails where there is no room for social distancing, maybe half the people there wear no masks--and no surprise, because the city has not posted a sign at the park to say to do so. I've reported this by phone to no avail. Does the city even care if people wear masks? Why is so little done to encourage it? Why do so many city workers work close to each other, often close to people out walking, without masks?

On the Bloomington Rail Trail where it crosses S Rogers St (at the horse farm) there are two sections of native trees planted by City Parks Dept and they are outgrowing their support wires (the supports put in upon planting). They all look great and have been successful but some are so big that the trunks have the wires growing right into the bark. Someone needs to cut the wires away and remove the support stakes in both sections. Thanks!

Hello, Every day, people walk to the b-line through this area, that no one is sure if it belongs to someone's private property or the city. I write to inquire that if it is city controlled, to please install a friendly path to the b-line through this culdesac. It is dangerous for anyone trying to take the short cut to the bline. It is full of rocks and mud, and people still climb through it. I see this as a clear sign that an official entry passage should be enforced here, for everyone's safety and convenience in the neighborhood. Thank you.

What regulations govern the Bloomington Rail Trail? It is classified as "multi-use" and there are to be no motorized vehicles on it. However that's about all we know about the kinds of "use" the trail can accept. Can you point me to the rules governing this portion of the trail? Thank you very much! —Michael Regoli

I’ve reported this before, but there’s a homeless man cutting down trees and trashing the BLINK. He has been hammering things constantly all night. If you’re walking from south walnut towards south Henderson street along the trail, you’ll see his shelter on the right. He has been leaving trash alongside both sides though. Is it okay for him to be cutting down all of the nature that some of us would like to enjoy? I have to avoid walking my dog in the grass in that area due to the trash he has left.

Would it be possible to turn this bench around so people can sit and watch the chickens, goats, and sheep that are part of the Boling Family Farm animals that are behind this bench on the Clear Creek Trail just past on the other side of Rockport Rd? Many people walk by here and enjoy watching the animals. It would be great for oldsters like me to be able to sit down on this bench and enjoy watching them. Thank you
