Follow up to ticket 208589: this is not a city issue. Residents have not put out their garbage bins for collection in weeks, and bags are piled up around the front of the house. This has been a recurrent issue with these residents of the rental house.

Trash

622 N Washington ST

Case Date:
2/8/2026

There are eight (!) trash bins lined up on the sidewalk in front of this house. Why do these tenants produce so much trash that they need so many bins? Is the building over-occupied? And why are the bins continually sitting on the sidewalk when they are supposed to be out of sight during the week?

Trash

1107 N Indiana AVE

Case Date:

See case #205955. This was a "couch on porch" complaint. Apparently, those complaints are so important that signatures are required. However, they are never taken care of. Is the public required to continue to complain about a particular address, or will the City follow up and see if violation citations are actually taken seriously? If there are only warnings issued without fines, the "citations" will be throw away and forgotten.
