Homeless living behind unoccupied home with trash and fires. One person named Bob related to the property owner is allowed to camp there but in his absence others have taken up living behind home. Neighbors are now complaining. Mike Harper (812-360-5782) related to the absentee owner occasionally cuts the grass.
Unhoused white woman 5'6" sleeps, loiters around front of the business located at 127 S. Gentry St. in the alley by the Hyatt parking garage. She is threatening staff of the store. She leaves cardboard and trash in the alley and they have witnessed her coming/going throughout the day for quite some time. Please clean up trash and relocate this woman. Olympus Properties has submitted Trespassing Affidavit with BPD.
We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. There are homeless encampments steadily increasing in number behind my house and those of my neighbors. There are now several in view of my windows. The amount of trash is staggering, including countless hypodermic needles. Trash is regularly set on fire by the residents of the encampments, producing noxious smoke that smells terrible and is surely not safe to breathe. The city needs to do something about these encampments. Open air drug use within feet of neighborhoods with young children should not be tolerated. I've been a resident of Bloomington for a decade and I'm strongly considering moving out of town due to the city's inability to address this issue. Please do something.
