Thank you for including staff on the announcement of this update. The interface is really clean and straight forward. I have included some of my suggestions and feedback from using the system below. I just tried out the newly revised uReport system search box with terms for the most common issues facing our neighborhoods - and things I hear all the time. I got zero results for the following terms: dog, cat, deer, tree, car, noise, loud, park, car, and neighbor. I got hits for trash, abandoned, and sidewalk. I regularly direct neighbors to use the uReport system - but I'm not sure I would if they are not able to search for what they need. I would need to tell them to go to uReport and then click on Hazards, then Animal Control, etc. That seems like they are back at the will of our internal categorization. So why not go directly to the Animal Control? Is there a way to add more search term tags to the major categories included? It was really discouraging as a searcher to have 0 results for something as common as dog or tree or noise - all very common issues in neighborhoods and dealt with by official depts or programs of the City. I ended up clicking around in several of the designated circles to attempt to find how those issues would be categorized by this system - with only some success. I don't think my neighbors would spend time on the doing that. Keywords would help a lot. I thought the original uReport had that feature. I would also suggest that once the category is located, that the first thing you request is the issue or complaint, and not the contact info - especially since that is optional. Landing on that page did not feel like I had found what I was looking for - a way to voice my concern. I had two more clicks before I felt assured that I was in the right place. The system also did not correctly indicate my location - and that was another 30 seconds of trying to orient myself on the map and click and drag the indicator to my address. Could you reverse that intake process? Photo and issue first, then location, then optional contact info? Seems more intuitive to me as the submitter. I was not able to override the map to type in my location without clicking the X on the location bar. And when I did that, both the map and the "Next" button disappeared, leaving me in limbo. The only way back was to click the compass icon and start the search for my location again. Maybe some short instructional language at the top of each page would help guide folks through the intake process. Also including a "back" button near the "next" button would help. I didn't associate the arrow icon at the top with my progression at the bottom. I assumed it would go back to the categories and lose what I had input so far. I was trapped into what I had input so far once I got to the 3rd screen. No way to refine my submission without starting over completely.

Tried to search Municipal Code site No go! was hunting the 'snow removal' ordinance. Error page follows: "City of Bloomington Municiple Codes ERROR opening the Index - contact sysadmin! Error message: directory '/var/www/sites/code/index' does not exist Powered by Apache Lucene" There you go, Please fix this! cheers . . .

Fee Lane Northbound Lane and Sidewalk Closure (06/15/2015 – 08/03/2015) The northbound lane and sidewalk of Fee Lane between 11th Street and Law Lane will be closed through approximately 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, to install new steam and water lines. The southbound lane and sidewalk will remain open.

I notice road and sidewalk tabs, but nothing for bicycle paths and lanes. When will a tab to note closures and blockages (or complete removal of things like bike boxes) of any bicycle infrastructure be added to the app? Even short blockages/lane closures are very relevant for bicycle commuters trying to get to work safely and on time.

Accessibility issue on E. 6th Street sidewalks, behind the public library. Where the library's driveways cross the sidewalk, the wheelchair areas are very narrow and uneven. Is this something the city will replace, or is it up to the library?

Hello, I am wondering if there are plans to finish the bikepath from Henderson along Winslow all the way up to Highland and the Winslow Sports complex. I live in Sherwood Oaks, and this would make biking to work on campus and biking downtown much safer for me. It would be great if someone from the city could reach out to Sherwood Oaks Neighborhood and let us know up sidewalk and bikepath plans along winslow, henderson and rhorer. I would also like to see a sidewalk all the way from Henderson to Jackson Creek Middle along Rhorer.

Hello, we live in Sherwood Oaks and there is not a safe way to get to the biking trail starting on Rhorer at Walnut Street Pike. People are often walking or biking up the last two blocks of Walnut Street Pike to reach that connection. It's not safe. We'd be so grateful if the sidewalk could be completed on the East Side of Walnut Street Pike between Rhorer and Heather Drive. This would allow people to access Kroger and the Rail Trail more safely. Other wishlist items are paving the rail-trail that connects the B-Line and Clear Creek Trail,and extending sidewalks along Rhorer all the way from Walnut Street Pike to Sare (or at least to Benson). It would also be nice if the sidewalk along the East Side of Walnut Street Pike extended all the way from Rhorer to Winslow, but finishing a sidewalk on the E or W side of Walnut Street Pike between E. Heather and Rhorer is really essential to pedestrian and biker safety. We love all of the investments we're seeing Bloomington making in parks, recreation and infrastructure. We really value this as a family with young children. We're just surprised how patchy the sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood are, with some suddenly stopping (Walnut Street Pike + Rhorer) and others reworked only to a certain point (example biking from Winslow Plaza east to Highland or Allendale is challenging). This makes it difficult to access all of the new paved biking/walking trails that connect to the Rail Trail and B-Line. Starview Lane keeps getting skipped by the snow and salt plows. This is city street. I have called and no action taken last week. Now today again no plow or salt. Previous years I have had to call to get service. Please provide a reason this continues to happen and when I can expect service?

Trash put out Wednesday for Thursday pick up still not picked up as of Saturday evening. Leaving it in the street until you pick it ip. It will be over flowed next week. I'm not bring 10 day old garbage into my house until next Thursday. It is not on the curb because the city plows the snow from the cul de sac into my yard which is ok because there is no other place to put it. So I don't have a curb at this time. I'd appreciated a notification if you weren't going to pick up the trash so I could have found a dumpster somewhere. Other neighbors still have their trash cans out. I presume the other gave up, or maybe theirs was picked up.
