Summer Showcase at the Middle Coast Film Festival in Bloomington, Indiana
The Middle Coast Film Festival will be in full swing August 13-15, in downtown Bloomington and there will be a wide assortment of indie presentations. Both shorts and full features will be presented. Co-founders Jessica Levandowski and Chelsea Sanders promised unique premiere features that Indiana film watchers haven’t had an opportunity to see.
A Middle Coast Film Festival special guest will be Raymond Rolak, one of the producers of GET A JOB, a full feature comedy from Hawaii. It is an added value showcase as the soundtrack contains 24 original songs, mostly performed by the Barefoot Natives, Willie K and Eric Gilliom. Serendipitously, Gilliom was one of the basketball players in the MGM classic, HOOSIERS. The Indian Pacers will be selecting special games next season to celebrate the 30th anniversary of HOOSIERS, which received two academy awards. GET A JOB will play at the Back Door, Saturday, August 15, at 2:00 p.m. Their transmedia music video ONLY WANNA PARTY will be a film festival premier and features not only the Barefoot Natives but Mick Fleetwood, Pat Simmons and Willie Nelson. www.barefootnatives.com
Rolak will be available for a Q & A afterwards and will enlighten how director Brian Kohne wove the youth oriented music soundtrack, (YOM), into this laugh-out-loud comedy. He also promised to address inexpensive ways for IU students to attend the Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament to support the Hoosiers basketball team. Indiana basketball will travel to Maui, Hawaii for three games in as many days, Nov. 23-25, to participate in one of the premier preseason college basketball tournaments.

The "Notice of Overdue Citation" paperwork that is sent out directs people to "submit a payment to:" www.bloomington.gov I did not find a box to fill with a "submit" button. That's because that is not the url for submitting a payment. Which is a good thing because that would never make sense to design a website with everything on the homepage.
Of course the correct url is: https://bloomington.t2hosted.com/cit/index.aspx
If they are going to give a url that is unnecessarily three steps before the actual url, why stop there? Just tell me to submit it to google.
Anyway, website and mobile apps folks, thanks for not having a submission field on the homepage, and next time you run into a transportation grandma or grandpa let them know that their notifications are bad, and that they should feel bad.

This website is a bit of an improvement from the old one, however, there are still too many steps to get to where you want to go. Also, where is anything about sustainability on the website?

Hi,
Just a quick email to let you know about a link on your site which does not appear to be working.
It's on this page: http://bloomington.in.gov/sections/viewSection.php?section_id=84
I'm getting an error message when I visit this link: http://www.fema.gov/areyouready/
We’ve put together a resource which I think would make a suitable replacement for the broken link - http://ammo.com/articles/why-prepare-for-a-disaster. It covers subjects such as why you should plan, what a disaster supply kit should contain and the different types of disasters; manmade and natural.
All the best
Sam

I notice road and sidewalk tabs, but nothing for bicycle paths and lanes. When will a tab to note closures and blockages (or complete removal of things like bike boxes) of any bicycle infrastructure be added to the app? Even short blockages/lane closures are very relevant for bicycle commuters trying to get to work safely and on time.

Looking around for lectures in Bloomington, I found the Lifelong Learning Coalition. The website is way out of date however. Is there another way to access this information?

Hello,
My name is Lamar Reinhardt and I’m the Community Energy Manager for Electric.com. I'm emailing you because I would like to request for Electric.com to be added to your utilities page as a utility resource for your residents. Electric.com offers energy plans in your area and will allow your residents to learn, compare and shop for electricity and natural gas in deregulated markets. The benefit to your residents is so that they can have the opportunity to choose the best energy rates for their living needs.
Would you be willing to add our site to as a energy retailer?
You could add the resource here: https://bloomington.in.gov/documents/viewDocument.php?document_id=593
The phone number to use is 877-752-1632 and the website to list is: http://www.electric.com
I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions. In advance, thank you for your time!
Thanks,
Lamar Reinhardt

I work with a DISH Network retailer that provides TV and Internet service for Bloomington residents, and I noticed that your "Video Service Providers" page lists DIRECTV and other providers but not DISH. (http://bloomington.in.gov/videoservices)
Please consider adding DISH to your list of resources — it would help give new residents a more comprehensive view of available services, as well as help them to make informed choices.
The addition under "Contacting Local Video Service Providers" would be fairly simple:
DISH Network

Hi, I'm wondering how I can add (or request to add) an event for the Lotus Education & Arts Foundation to the City of Bloomington online calendar. Thanks!
