Sewer Problems (Storm Sewers)

All of the storm sewers along Hillside De that I ran past this morning between Moores Pike and Henderson were very clogged with debris and mud. You could barely see where they were besides the excess sticks, leaves, and mud buildup. Often times our neighborhood drains (Sycamore Knolls) are similar after a big storm.

I checked and cleared storm drains on Sussex and Queensway yesterday afternoon and removed debris, except those two near High St that have filters to prevent construction from the new "trail". This morning with the help of a neighbor cleared the Sussex drains. I then cleared those on Queensway.
The problems of separation of the present layer of pavement on Queensway and knowing there was a potential of heavy rain from the present on later storms today. I piled a significant amount of loose pavement with the debris at the south drains at the intersection of Queens Way and Chelsia Court. incase of heavy rain today.
Also all three of these drains have a significant amount of eroded pavement below the drain's grates. Thus these debris may in the future become plugg the storm drain.that goes down just past Sussex Dr and result in potential stormwater flash flooding as in June of 2007 that damaged my neighbors property.

We are contacting you with hopes of getting some advice regarding the storm water stream that runs along E Vernon Ave in Matlock Heights neighborhood.
There is a storm/ rain water stream( path) that runs under N Dunn Rd , goes west on E Vernon Ave and under Fritz Dr and eventually goes into a larger creek.
Over the past few years this pathway has been deteriorating with some of the road erosion happening right before the water goes into the culvert under our driveway.
The previous owner of our property added some rocks and blocks but it does not solve the road erosion problem.
We are needing guidance and help since we do not know how to address the erosion and also the public road.
We have addressed this issue on March 14th and this is the response we have received almost a month later on April 6th

Mihaela,
Thank you for checking in on this. We did have our crew go out and assess. They determined that they do need to do some trenching in this ditch to improve the issue. We have added it to our work order list and will get to it as soon as we are able.
Thank you,
Katherine

Hello,
I am writing back to follow up on the storm water issues we are having in front of our property. The crew came and assessed the situation on 03/14 but we have not heard anything else since then. I did not know if there is anything else we need to do.
Thank you,
Mihaela

During the rain event on Wednesday evening (Jan 18), I notice significant water standing at the NE corner of 3rd and College. Several cars, including mine, moved into the center lane (west bound) on 3rd, to ensure that the rising water would not come into contact with the car. Can the drain at that NE corner/intersection be checked/cleared? This is the second time I have experienced this at that intersection, this year.

The storm grate in the 300 block of 7th street is broken and the structural integrity of the drain appears to be somewhat compromised. The concreate around the drain is severely damaged. This is a fairly new drain so I'm a bit surprised that it has broken so quickly.

The storm drains on both the North and South side of Heather are always full of debris. When it rains, there is very little area for the drainage. Please clear the debris.
