The heavy rainfall today has resulted again in flash flooding our backyard. The beehive drain in the City's drainage easement within the Brigs Bend cul de sac in Hyde Park is deteriorating around and above the drain structure, with large sink holes with active water flowing in the ground. There is another sink hole developing to the east of the drain with active water flowing below ground. We believe the storm pipe(s) may be compromised in some way that causes flash flooding to occur, over-filling the north and east swales that subsequently fills our back and side yard with flood water within seconds. We have videos of the drain after the storm today showing water draining through these holes in the ground. We believe this is a dangerous situation, particularly with the transformer at the top of the drain open to the large sink hole. This is at 2737 E Brigs Bend and 2712 Olcott.

in the back end of our property we have a storm Storm pipe set up between me and my neighbor. This past weekend we had a storm where the pipe was pushing out alot of water causing it to cave in the ground and crowding the sides of the channel. It has been causing the sides to collapse and making the channel wider taking from the land. I placed some rocks to keep the storm water from damaging the channel last year. yet We will need to add some extra rocks to hold it in place since it can't withstand the pressure as shown in the attached image. This stormwater conduit that drains the Cascades neighborhood is compromised - tall weeds grow every season in several areas where the cement has crumbled away over the years. I have reported this before and requested a repair, however the response was to patch a few of the larger missing areas with asphalt. This is not a sufficient conduit to manage the volume of stormwater that flows from uphill. Especially since this is a very uneven surface, stormwater is not adequately managed at this point.

all the medians on third street have alot of weeds growing out of them, its a peoblem all over town, the brick mdiand on west second street. and wanut street are never cleaned up. lots of the streets in town have a lot of weeds and growth in them. and also the sewer drais are covered up with weeds. thx

A few minutes ago, a white dump truck without City emblems stopped in front of my house. Two men got out and shoveled the leaves from the drain in front of my house and across the street into the drains. I thought we weren’t supposed to put leaves in the drain. The drain in front of my house is my adopt-a-drain, so it didn't have many leaves but the one across the street had more.
