17th st west of roundabout to Fountain, speed limit signs; westbound two 25mph, eastbound two 20mph one 25mph. wbound traffic goes from 25 to 20 with no signage, if you drive 3mph over at 28, you will be clocked at 8mph over when u pass 20mph signs facing eastbount traffic.
Please designate turn lanes (even if it's just one lane) at the stop sign heading east on Covenanter Drive at Buick-Cadillac Blvd (and entrance to Kroger). It is hard enough when people in B'ton tend to lack a knowledge of 4-way stop laws, and the use of turn signals is inconsistent at best. Thanks!!
The crosswalk on Henderson near Templeton school between Driscoll and Wilson continues to be dangerous. We use it daily to and from school with many other kids and routinely have close calls with cars speeding through. I think part of this is foliage blocking the flashers, but would like to also suggest pedestrian flags be provided on both sides of the street. We've used them living in other towns and they are really great. "Head start" for pedestrians. Use the NYC trick, give walkers a 7 second head start before turning the light green. This intersection, the one on the bypass and 10th, and the Kirkwood Walnut crosswalk are just 3 places drivers ignore pedestrians as they only look at cars so they can make right turns. Please. I was traveling east on 10th St. and got into the right-hand turn lane (with turn signal on) to turn right/south on Smith Road. As I turned right, a car facing north on Smith Road turned left to head west on 10th St. and did not see an oncoming car and the eastbound car on 10th street had to brake quickly to avoid an accident...stopping within a few feet of the turning car. With the new traffic light at the Post Office intersection on 10th st, GPS is routing more people east/west on 10th street to/from Smith Rd and more locals are also using this route. This is turning an already dangerous intersection more dangerous. Turning left off smith onto 10th street requires timing to avoid a car coming east around the curve on east 10th street...and the same for turning left onto Smith off 10th street. Please consider a stop light at this intersection. Thank You.
The barricades set up on Rockport Road at the intersection of Roger's Street and Rockport Road are creating a dangerous situation. Specifically, the barricade in the lane for Rockport approaching Rogers requires traffic to drive in to oncoming traffic. This particular barricade doesn't seem to serve any purpose, as it is only visible to traffic traveling on Rockport towards Rogers street, the opposite direction of the Tapp/Rockport intersection.
There needs to be a roundabout or traffic light at Prow & Arlington, because it is a nearly daily issue, twice a day, because the intersection is an unprotected free-for-all PLUS inexperienced drivers.
No pavement markings at entire intersection. Roads are wide enough for two lanes, but not marked. Causes confusion and dangerous during high traffic times.
So I read to Dave the city is opening a portal to do with climate change and you guys are stocking money away from it meanwhile I just drove from Kroger's on the west side of town to Kirkwood avenue and literally got stopped by every fucking light along the way as soon as one goes green The next one in front of it goes red are you guys just that fucking stupid or incompetent is it some big joke over there for you guys cuz I know you guys have been emailed several times about this shit fucking climate change you fucking clowns how does it make sense to have dozens of cars fucking idling at every fucking stop light
From about 3PM - 6 PM this intersection gets backed up sometimes all the way to Aldi. There's too much left turn traffic for just one lane. There really should be either 2 left turn lanes to help prevent traffic from blocking the entrances to multiple businesses or the light should have a left turn arrow so each car no longer has to half yield to make sure the oncoming traffic isn't going straight before they can turn. It's a hazard as well as a huge inconvenience for all drivers. I'm surprised the businesses on this section of the road don't complain daily about their parking lots being practically inaccessible.
