A "Use the Zipper" or a "Take Turns Merging" sign (with a "Start Merge Here" sign) would make the merging by the new hospital safer. People queue up on one side and get angry/aggressive when others do not want to queue so (unnecessarily) early.
I would like to request that a turn signal be added to the traffic lights at the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection for drivers on 3rd Street coming from the East who wish to turn South onto Woodscrest. There is already a turn signal on Woodscrest for drivers who are driving North and turn West onto 3rd Street, and that turn signal is extremely helpful. However, there is no turn signal on 3rd Street for people who wish to turn left onto Woodscrest after coming from the East, and as a result, the turn is very difficult and often even unsafe to make. Often times, drivers never have a chance to make a left turn while the light is green due to the often high traffic on 3rd street, and so the drivers are able to turn only when the light turns yellow. Adding a turn signal there would undoubtedly increase the safety for everyone at that intersection. Many of the other intersections on 3rd Street have traffic lights with left turn signals, even for both the East and West directions, and I don't think that the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection should continue to lack a turn signal for drivers turning left onto Woodscrest. Can you shorten the duration of the green light for Winslow and Country Club since Country Club is closed? There is much less traffic on Winslow now so the light stays green with no traffic at all.
We just need to slow down the traffic into The Stands going towards the park. Can we get one of the speed measuring signs to let people know how fast they are actually going?
Can you look at installing a dead end sign at the intersection of S. Hathaway Ct. and E. Cathcart Drive? Cars keep driving thru the neighborhood in an attempt to get to the parking lot at Southest Park and many turn around in the driveways of the houses on Hathaway.
At least half a dozen times since the new bike lanes were created on Third Street near Jordan Avenue, I have been driving westbound on Third Street, stopped at the light at Jordan, in the right lane, with my right turn signal on, only to have someone pass me on the right, driving in the bike lane (and sometimes proceeding to turn right on red at a "No turn on red" sign). I saw two cars in a row do this today. The lane markings seem clear enough to me, but a lot of people are evidently not understanding them. Can anything be done to make it clearer that that is not a drive lane?
At the intersection of East 10th street and N Smith Rd, N Smith R gets very backed up because traffic does not stop on East 10th. If someone wants to turn left, they have to wait for traffic coming from both ways. There is one lane on N Smith Road so traffic becomes backed up very quickly when someone needs to turn left. This happens especially in the afternoon. Traffic can become so backed up it extends past Meadow Park Apartments, nearing a hill. This can be dangerous when cars cannot see the stopped traffic until after coming over the hill.
Please install a traffic light at Winslow and Highland. At times, it takes forever to turn onto Winslow from Highland. Overall, it is a dangerous crossing because cars cannot see each other when cars are approaching east bound on Highland because there is a hill that blocks all view--they can't see and people turning off of Highland can't see.

The new light in front of the the Twin Lakes Recreation center has backed up traffic a lot especially during peak travel times, morning and evening rush hour commutes. I have lived in Oakdale Square apartments for over 4 years and the amount of extra time it takes to get to and from work (I work at IU) has increase by 5-10 minutes because of the light. As a suggestion I think the light should be a yellow flasher for Bloomfield road traffic between the hours of 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm. This would decrease the amount the traffic can back up in this area.
