We would like to request a slowdown sign or a lower speed limit on our street 20th St. people have been coming off the highway onto our street doing 40mph until they hit Arlington road. This is a neighborhood with children and a daycare.
I truly can't understand why the city keeps putting in speed bumps with no signage and no indication that they are there. I drove down Washington St for the first time in a long time...the speed bumps caught me and my car off guard. I really feel like they should have yellow paint and/or a sign. The white arrows don't stand up enough and especially on the sections of the road that are in shade...it was impossible for me to tell if there was a speed bump or not. I understand the need for speed bumps, I would just like them to be appropriately marked.
Due to the current bridge reconstruction detour on Rhorer, all east-west traffic is being funneled through the E Rogers and Winslow roundabout. A 3-way stop approximately 0.25 miles west at Sherwood Oaks neighborhood is causing gridlock to back up directly into the roundabout every day between roughly 5:00 PM and 5:40 PM. Eastbound cars are completely blocking the north entrance, starving out those drivers and breaking Indiana Code ยง 9-21-8-36. Please investigate temporary mitigation, such as 'Do Not Block Intersection' signage or temporary traffic control at the 3-way stop during peak rush hour. Alternatively, a flagger at the Winslow Sherwood Oaks Neighborhood entrance might be more helpful and limit cars trying to cut through the neighborhood to avoid traffic going East on Winslow.
Need street-surface traffic direction arrows painted in the 2 lanes of S. Clarizz heading north. I have seen people make the right-hand lane into a left-hand turn onto East 3rd St. Please see pic of suggested arrows. The yellow marks are the direction available besides a right turn. Tx!
Vehicles driving east on Grimes often stop in the middle of the road (rather than in their "lane") at the stop sign at Woodlawn. This makes it impossible to turn onto Grimes from Woodlawn until they have moved on, leading to difficult and unpredictable traffic situations. Would it be possible to put a center line here on Grimes, just for the intersection and the approach to it? To encourage drivers on Grimes to be in their lane when they stop at the intersection.
