My understanding is that this establishment is not legally allowed to have a liquor license due to their proximity to a church. The HPC rejected their application to become an historic district, and they have no other avenues to legally sell alcohol I am aware of. Please let me know if I am mistaken, or if they are flagrantly violating the law.

I was walking past the Crew Carwash while cars were being pre-treated on the front of the cars with bug and tar remover. The wind was blowing the mist from the chemical used for this, straight at me. Some bug and tar pre-treatments at car washes can contain acids and refined petroleum chemicals. Although many contain citris, they usually can also cary chemicals that can cause reprirory and skin issues. I noticed that there is no protective wall that was installed to protect pedestrians and I belive that such a wall is common practice with businesses that do not wish to expose pedestrians to their car wash chemicals. Even if it were merely a strong car wash soap spray, this too can be a health risk to pedestrians who inhale this as they walk past a car wash.

Specifically, the residents have been leaving trash overflowing into the alley, some of which is spilling over onto my property. This not only creates a messy and unsanitary environment but also makes a poor impression on my clients as they arrive at my business. Additionally, there are two cars at the property: one that does not appear to be running and another that is frequently being worked on. There are also cars frequently pulling up in the alley, where individuals from the house briefly interact with the vehicles before returning inside. The overall condition of the property and the ongoing activity is concerning, and I would appreciate your assistance in addressing this issue. Why was feedback on the mural at 11th & rogers only asked for with simply one design submitted? And to that point, why was feedback submitted not taken? Public sees absolutely no changes to the proposed design and leaves us feeling the same way when the gateway was decided unilaterally at miller park. At least in that instance council stepped in to halt the design. Is the artwork at hopewell going to be treated the same way? Public feedback submitted but has no impact on actual result for our neighborhoods and city? Disappointing.
Someone cut the majority of the Ukraine flag down off our building. They had to have had scissors and some kind of a ladder to do it, so it wouldn't have been a spur of the moment thing. Not expecting the city to do anything; just wanted to let you know in case there were other incidences of vandalism that might be similar and help in identifying a person or pattern. Thanks!
