The Walnut Street bike lane (starting around the intersection with 11th street) has been all torn up for quite some time now. When will this be repaired?

Please add a flashing light and signage at the crosswalk where the B-Line crosses Rogers to alert drivers to be prepared to stop for pedestrians. It's especially important because the sidewalk on the east side of Rogers is closed, so people entering or exiting the B-Line there need to cross from or to the west side of Rogers. (I.e., we can't walk on the east side and cross Rogers at the stop sign at 11th St.)
Many students cross 10th Street near John Hinkle Pl. to get to the #6 bus stop. Should a safety survey be conducted in this location?
There are several sidewalk cuts along Washington Street in front of the AT&T building that are covered with smooth metal pieces. These metal covers provide absolutely no traction when wet and are very dangerous for pedestrians. Can these please be replaced with the more common covers that have raised ridges to provide some traction?
Is it possible to have a crosswalk painted on 3rd at Rose? Today I saw a blind person trying to make the crossing. Per the email below, a few years ago, it seemed this was a possibility. Yes. There will be marked crosswalks on 3rd at Rose. On Tue, Oct 22, 2013 at 10:51 AM, Schertz, Hannah H. <hschertz@indiana.edu> wrote: Thanks for the response. I have noticed the bike stripes. At this point, the likelihood of a sidewalk on Rose Avenue is very low. You probably have noticed changes on 3rd Street as a result of the City's Greenways Implementation Plan, however. Rose Avenue in the segment you describe is designated as a neighborhood greenway as well. So you will see some additional signage and striping at the 3rd & Rose intersection if you haven't already. Thank you again for your uReport request. Thanks, Adrian
At the corner of East Third Street and Jordan Avenue, why are there no crosswalks painted in the street for pedestrians crossing Third Street? It seems very odd that there are pedestrian signals telling pedestrians when they may cross, but no pavement markings showing them WHERE to cross.
Hi, I was wondering if it might be possible to consider making a crosswalk at this location. It is located right at a bus stop, and for pedestrians walking along the bus stop side of the road (east side), it would be great to be able to cross the street safely here over to Renwick (specifically, for me, the Village Center shops). Thanks for your consideration!
The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. Thank you Carol Reimers A concerned pedestrian
New construction at the new sporting store has blocked the bicycle lane.
On March 2, 2016, I submitted a question about the lack of painted crosswalks for pedestrians crossing 3rd Street at Jordan Avenue. I received a prompt reply from Matt Smethurst, saying that the intersection would be torn up soon for stormwater improvements, and the crosswalks would be completed after that. There was indeed work completed over the summer, and the curbs now look very nice, but almost a year after my original question, there are still no crosswalks painted in the street. Are they going to appear sometime?
