There is a walk way from Cascades Addition from near 651 Skyline Drive that goes into the Arlington Elementary School yard. I have tried but never have been able to find out who (school or city) is responsible for it. I think the school has cleared it out every year before school starts. Children from the neighborhood walk to school that way and people walk to Kroger or to the walking path and frisbee golf course at Arlington. Right now it is really overgrown and some people have come racing their bicycles and scooters out of it and almost hit us twice (they were young adults). There used to be posts on it so no one could do that or try to drive on it! Picture is From Skyline Dr. looking up (see cut off post). I think the posts need to be put back up and it definitely needs to be cleared on both sides of path from overgrowth.

Difficult to cross with bike from bike path that goes through underpass through green acres to campus at Union Street at times. Please have a safe bike signal or something to cross Union to campus and back.

I am a parent of a student living at Union Street Center Apartments. I have been observing this area for some time and feel there is a safety risk for pedestrians crossing from a parking lot to the Apartments. I have addressed this with the University and they said this had been passed on to Bloomington official and I never heard back from the city. They said its not their property and the City of Bloomington would need to address. I have tried emailing another official and again have not heard back. The issue is N. Union Street needs 2 Crosswalks at each end of the parking lot, with Yellow Flashing Warning Signs in each direction. In addition, the lighting is poor in that area, again increasing the risk at night. The Risk Analysis would show there is a high risk of Severity, Frequency, and Probability for an accident in this area. Cars traveling from 10th street to 3rd as a cut through are traveling down hill and pick momentum or speed. I would be happy to discuss this issue with anyone who will listen, so we all fully understand the issue.

Can we please get a barrier like cones to partition the bike lane on third? This would help bikers feel safer and actually use the lanes and cars from blocking other cars and buses and creating problems by CONSTANTLY parking in a no parking area by slowing down and pulling over. I get annoyed as a driver but would be even more mad if trying to bike or driving a bus.

Again, I ask for speed bumps. Traffic count doesn't matter. Renters, a shortcut mentality, and the fact that we DO NOT HAVE SIDEWALKS are the problem. I work from home now and take frequent walks, as do my neighbors. PLEASE help us! Thank you.

The intersection of Pete Ellis Dr./Discovery Parkway and 10th Street is used by residents of numerous apartment complexes, bus riders, and community members accessing the post office and the greenway that goes along 10th St. The intersection is necessary for access to Indiana University from Woodbridge and Fountain Park Apartments, which hosts many graduate students. However, there is no crosswalk, pedestrian lights, or sidewalk platforms to allow for safe crossing along this very busy intersection. Additionally, the traffic lights are not able to be seen from the four corners of the intersection, forcing pedestrians to make an educated guess on when to cross. In short, the intersection is dangerous and near impossible to cross. Would it be at all possible in the future to include a) a crosswalk b) a pedestrian crosswalk light c) sidewalk cutout/curb ramps on the two corners in which there is not one currently? 7th and Union remains very unsafe to cross for bike path. Stop signs or cross walk or something needed. As Is the main East west crossing.

Is there a timeline estimated for when traffic calming and enhancements will be made for the bike path Morningside Greenway? I believe it was a priority area on a map the other year. Looking forward to it! (and maybe slowing cars down a bit)
