There are uneven pavements and metal plates leftover on the bike lane after recent roadwork (possibly drilling) in the last two weeks between 3609 and 3617 E 3rd St (north side/westbound). This creates two big bumps on the bike lane. Not sure if the roadwork has been finished or it will resume soon.

Cars cut through Matlock Heights to avoid the light at Walnut/Bypass. We need traffic calming here to slow traffic down. Cars are driving at high speeds and not watching out for walkers and children biking. This has been a major issue during the construction which is happening now on Walnut and the Bypass, but is also year round.

I originally reported piles of sand and gravel in the bicycle lane – from Old State Route 37 to 11th Street – on July 10 (Case 204099). When nothing was done, I submitted another request on July 26 (Case 204511). Six weeks have now elapsed, and the sand and gravel are still there. Why does it take so long for the city to remove bicycling hazards?

I send this picture to simply point out that this vehicle is blocking what would be the bike lane on Washington between 4th and 3rd St's if it were painted there, but since there is no bike lane, it isn't blocked.

Poison ivy growing on the south side of the walking path where Fourth Street would be, just east of Jefferson. There's also another bunch of three-leaved vining thing a bit east of there, not sure if it's poison ivy.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but they are resurfacing Washington and that makes this the PERFECT opportunity to do something here that makes sense, ie: not paint a line and say it's for bikes and hope/pretend that cars don't park in it, because they will.
The easiest and most obvious solution is to do nothing, or at most paint a "sharrow". Simple fact is: a car can't block a bike lane if it isn't there.
