New mandatory stop at B line trail crossing on West Country Club drive. Bad, inefficient installation will cause traffic backups all the way to S. Walnut, already a problem. The warning lights should be installed facing the trail not the road – lots of cars, particularly at rush hour, every day, all hours, but very very few trail users. CC drive is a main cross-city route - so why stop all the cars every time when no trail users are there? Bad logic.

Hello,
My name is Kendall Burch and I am a student at Indiana University. I live at 1309 N Washington Street Bloomington, IN 47408 in a duplex. The duplex was built this past summer and sits at the end of a dead end, where there is currently no light.
Next to our house is several bushes with a trail leading to a parking lot for an apartment complex across the street. My roommates and I have encountered more than one incident where we have seen individuals hiding in the trail at night because it is so dark. The latest incident happened this past weekend, but by the time the Bloomington Police Department arrived the man fled on foot. As citizens of Bloomington we feel we are in danger, providing a street light would make the area safer for everyone. Please let me know if this is an option as soon as possible
Respectfully,
Kendall Burch

Third St. lights are not timed appropriately and causes major back-ups for people pulling onto Third St. traveling in every direction.

The street lights on Williams Court in Sycamore Knolls have been out for some time. I believe we have 2, one at Arden and Williams Court and another near the culdesac, and both are out.

I live at 918 W 4th St. Street light across from my house, on the northeast corner of the Rosehill cemetery on 4th st, appears to be in the process of falling over. Pole is split in a couple spots. Also, the light never turns off. Thanks.

I live at 211 e 10th st. Within the past week both houses on either side of my have been broken into. The alley behind my house is not lit very well. I believe that if the alley had street lights, that people would be deterred from breaking in.

I am seriously concerned that there is no street lamp at W Vernal and N Adams and/or W 8th St. and W Vernal (Waterman). The fact that these two major intersections in western Bloomington have no street lights, when the area is known to have a relatively high-rate of nighttime crime, makes little sense to me. Moreover, as my wife and I are commuter cyclists and often return home at night, these are the only sections of town between the University and our house which aren't lit. So not only is the lack of city street lights/lamps a crime issue, it's also a public safety and transportation issue as well. I look forward to a street light(s) installation in this section of town very soon. Thank you for your consideration, Sam.

The corner of W. 8th Street and W. Vernal Pike is very dark and dangerous at night, especially for pedestrians and bicyclists (of which I am both). I am requesting lights be installed at that location in order to make the area safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and cars. The Waterman neighborhood has many residents who bicycle and walk through that part of the street, and they are at risk of being hit by cars. It is also a case of making people feel safe at night. Also, I am writing this as a property owner (1521 W. 8th Street) and resident of four years who would like to feel safer and has only just found out about this UReport process, otherwise I would have submitted this request years ago.

For safety reasons, please fix asap.
Thank you.
