The street light at the corner of Anthony Ct and Bill Mallory Bd is not working.
we need a street light at the corner Peachtree Lane and Allen St. It is too dark for my children to wait for the bus in the mornings.
The sidewalk from High to Arden passes through a small wooded area that is not lit. It is intimidating to walk through. There is an electric transfer box nearby between two properties. Hopefully a light can be installed.
When is the city going to repair the broken and crooked iconic street lamps on Hawthorne?
Please replace the sodium street light at the end of this west 6th street. Since our neighborhood is prone to thefts, please do this ASAP. It has been flickering for the past few weeks.
Please install another street light at the end of the 6th street. The neighborhood gets pretty dark during night time. Please choose a suitable location.
I am a resident living in between the intersection of 8th and Dunn and 8th and Indiana. I recently graduated from the Kelley School of Business-- which is less than a 15 minute walk from my residence. I often had class or group/club meetings that left me walking home when it was dark out. Luckily, for the 10 minutes I walked on campus, I had a well-lit path. However, for the 5 minutes it took to walk down 8th street, I had to use my phone as a flashlight to guide my way; everyone I passed also had to do the same thing. I should have written a request a long time ago-- but I didn't and the point is simple. Please, add lighting to 8th street and the surrounding streets. Everyone deserves to feel safe, and adding lights is necessary, and quite frankly, overdue. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I lived near the intersection of 8th and Dunn this past school year. I felt extremely unsafe being outside after dark due to the lack of lighting around. I think the street, and its residents, would be much safer if there were more street lights.
As an IU student who lived off campus this past year, I often felt unsafe in several parts of Bloomington because it was so dark. I strongly urge for the city of Bloomington to install lights on not only street corners but in the middle of streets. My neighbors house was broken into and that could have been avoided by the simple addition of a street light. My house was on a 10th street but even one street in was completely unlit. It is a serious safety concern for all citizens.
I have nearly hit pedestrians and bicyclists crossing at this location at night because there are no street lights any where near this exceptionally long crosswalk. Since turning onto 7th street from a south heading means you are competing with north bound traffic on a major road, creeping across to look for pedestrians is not an option and straining to look for pedestrians poses a distraction when gauging oncoming traffic. Thank you.
