Multiple burned out street lights around 7th and N. Lincoln and 7th and N Washington
I called a couple of weeks ago to report that there were 4 street light out on 11th and Morton. They were never repaired and now there are approximately 8-10 lights out. I’m concerned because my college student walks these streets every night in the dark and it’s just dangerous. Like I said, this is my second time reporting this.
The lights along Sare/State Road 45 as you approach and past 2nd street are nearly all out. Some almost seem like they may be triggered by motion but if that is the case- they are not working properly. Most are just dark.
Non-operating street light mid 700 block of West 4th Street
Along Rogers St. By the Cook facility that sits behind the showers building there is a street lamp going out and it causes a strobe light effect. Makes it difficult to pay attention to the road while driving at night.
Street light is out
Left turn signal needed on Smith road at the intersection of Smith and 3rd
The light on the southeast corner of Greenbriar and Berkley Court is out and needs to be replaced.
Lights are really dim for E 3rd east of college mall. Hard to identify Lanes at night and next to impossible during rain. Scary particularly with no median for opposing traffic at high speed. Can City either increase brightness to lights, which also would be good for feeling safe walking, or at least add little reflectors to lane for safer driving like State did on 10th.
My husband and I were in Bloomington two weeks ago. We are from out of state. While driving the streets around the campus, we were shocked at how dark every street is. Especially now with the upperclass students moving off campus into apartments and houses this next school year, the city of Bloomington needs to take their safety into consideration.
