The light that was removed from this intersection when Tapp was closed at 37 should be reinstalled due to the heavy amount of traffic especially during rush hours. People needing to turn left are just left sitting and blocking traffic because of being unable to turn.
The stoplight at Old 37 North and North Walnut/Business 37 is not working correctly this week. Cars heading south on Old 37 and coming to that stoplight are not triggering the light to change to green. It stays green for the North Walnut/Business 37 traffic...I have sat there in a row of cars for 10 minutes two days in a row. Today, an impatient driver in a big pickup zoomed out of the row of waiting cars up to the front of the line, presumably trying to trigger the light. Either the sensor isn't working or it is located beyond where the stop line is marked. This is going to cause an accident. Thank you!
The current congestion on W Bloomfield Rd., west of Highway 37, seems to be caused in part by the timing of traffic signal here (the intersection of W. Bloomfield Rd., S. Basswood Dr., and S. Oakdale Dr.), Almost all the traffic here is east-west on Bloomfield Rd. There is very little traffic on Basswood Dr. or Oakdale Dr. But the but the traffic signal stays green for a very long time for the south traffic on Basswood Dr. and the north traffic on Oakdale Dr. I think the congestion of Bloomfield Rd. would be alleviated somewhat if the traffic signal at this intersection were reset so that it stayed green longer for the ease-west Bloomfield Rd. traffic. Hi, I contacted the city last week about a stop sign on 2nd and Ballantine that is completely covered by a tree. It is a danger as it should be a 4 way stop, but people don't see it and will fly through it. Please get the tree trimmed so it doesn't cover up the stop sign. Thank you. Best, Ingrid
Stoplight may show green to both east bound and south bound at the same time. Unless cars are running solid red lights.
East 6th Street traffic stop at Dunn: there appears to be a stop sign, which I also believe had a 1 way and Do Not Enter sign on it, missing. Thanks!
The traffic light at Woodward and Smith Pike east/west doesn’t seem to recognize traffic heading east if no one trips the light heading west light. It can cause quite a backup at 7:45 am.
Left turn arrow from northbound College Mall Road onto westbound 2nd St. was not working at 5:35 PM on Monday August 13. Sat through four cycles of the light, and left turn arrow never came on. Due to heavy southbound traffic, only one car could turn left on cycle, during the yellow. Traffic was backed up in the northbound left lane of College Mall Road all the way back to Covenanter.
Now that students are back and traffic has increased, may I request that the left turn signal going south on Fee Lane at 17th St. be turned back on? Thank you.
The traffic light at this intersection high st and hillside is not timed properly. When traveling east west, the light is very short and only allowed 8 to 9 cars to get through so the traffic is backing up very badly
