Traffic signal at the intersection of E 17th Street and N Woodlawn Ave changes to red for 17th street vehicles although no vehicles are on Woodlawn Ave to activate their light to green. This is backing traffic up 17th Street in the mornings.
The "walk" button on the northeast corner of the College Mall/Covenanter intersection is not functioning. In trying to cross College Mall, I could not get the button to work, so I could never get a "walk" signal.
The traffic light at 1200 S Rolling Way and Bloomfield sometimes takes upwards of 10 minutes to cycle to allow left turning traffic from the apartment complexes.
I have no idea how many times I’ve complained about this light. I wish the head of this department lived out this way and had to wait through a quarter mile backup while the light switched back and forth without any cross traffic. Quit putting a band-aid on it and fix it permanently
The traffic light at Bloomfield Rd (2nd Street) & Rolling Ridge Way is a problem during normal commuting hours (7:30am-8:30am & 4:30pm-5:30pm). In the morning, traffic comes to a crawl and is backed up from this intersection all the way to the exits of Highway 69, often blocking the Highway exits. The short trip between the Highway exits and this intersection would normally take less than 1 minute. During the morning commute hours, it takes 5+ minutes. A similar situation occurs in the evening. Westbound traffic comes to a crawl and is commonly backed up from this intersection to S Patterson Drive, or sometimes even farther. This traffic light is certainly the cause. After passing this light, the congestion is no where to be seen and traffic flows normally. My suggestion would be to alter the programming of this light, during these specific hours, to be much more heavily biased toward East-West traffic. Perhaps it could stay green for East-West traffic for 50% longer than standard, or similar.
I don’t know how many times I’ve complained about this light. In the morning it backs up traffic to the interstate and in the evening it backs up to Landmark ave. It is not the result of Catalent traffic. The light cycles even if there is no cross traffic. When it does cycle it first lights the west bound turn light whether or not there is anyone in that lane. The local residents are beginning to believe this light is left broken as a form of punishment for opposing annexation
On 7th street the construction has resulted in multiple stop signs being taken out. Every day I see cars spewing through which is ferrying especially at night when it is hard to see pedestrians because of the new bike lane. This neighborhood is where my friends reside and every day I fear for their safety. These stops signs need to be put back in immediately because of the danger they are actively putting residents and students in. Construction should not result in danger for safety.
Early in the mornings, when driving on 3rd Street at the High St. intersection, the light is usually red for 3rd St. traffic. When it turns green, it only remains green for about 12 seconds, so I end up having to stop and wait there every day even when there is no traffic on High St. The way the timers are set now, the green remains on longer for High St. even when there are no cars there but remains green for 3rd St. traffic for only about a dozen seconds before turning yellow and then red, so we're forced to stop almost every day even though heavier traffic goes through 3rd St.! I ask that the time for green for 3rd St. traffic be made longer, say at least 30 seconds for 3rd St., or better yet, kept green unless a car shows up on High St. The way it is right now, it's as if more traffic is supposed to go through High St. when the opposite is true. This is causing wasted time each day, which adds up to quite a lot in the long run, so I ask that the green timer for 3rd St. traffic be extended or made to remain green as the default because the reverse is happening right now!! The traffic lights are blinking red and green while opposing traffic is also green.
The cross road has a very long green signals and this causes traffic congestion in the afternoons and mornings.
