East bound Patterson green timing too quick to allow traffic flow
East bound Patterson green timing too quick to allow traffic flow
When you are driving on Patterson toward Rodgers St., the light at Fairview turns red when there is no one at the cross street, Fairview. You then have to wait for a delayed signal, then you get a green light. 3-4 cars can make it through the light, and it turns red again with no traffic on the cross St., Fairview. Patterson is the main street. Why is the light turning red with no one on Fairview, slowing up traffic ON Patterson? This has been going on for a month!!!
Light sensors need calibrated. Stops Patterson traffic with no traffic on Fairview.
The stop light on weekends is messed up. It only stays green for about 6-7 seconds for traffic using Patterson. Changes without anyone even pulling up on either side of Fairview
Traffic light timing is messed up causing delays on Rockport. It was fixed for a while but seems to be messed up again post the July 4th power outages.
Something changed in the programming or timing of this light in the past week. I noticed maybe Friday of last week that the light on Rogers was flashing yellow and someone was at the control box. Now, the light sits on red for a long time on Rogers. This week, traffic headed south on Rogers around 5pm has been backed up like never before. The backup extends from Rockport north to Grimes at a minimum. This is a huge problem and needs to be fixed back to its normal operation that kept traffic moving on Rogers.
All of the traffic signals on the intersection of W 3rd Street and South Rogers Street AS WELL AS W 3rd Street and South Madison Street (separate report filed) are NOT ON. It is as if they do not have any power.
About 5:10 pm today (5 March) I stopped at the signal at Moore's Pike and College Mall Rd. I was waiting to make a westbound thru movement toward Hillside Ave. After two cycles wherein every other movement (including WB to SB) got a green, I still had not gotten the green light for a WB thru. Traffic had backed up the hill, out of sight, so I made a right turn when safe to do so, and took an alternate route home.
The traffic signals at 3rd & Bypass / College Mall Rd could use some reprogramming. Westbound traffic turning south onto College Mall gets backed up at the signal just to the south, to the extent that vehicles are blocking the intersection waiting to turn left on red. Today it was bad enough that eastbound traffic was unable to proceed through an entire cycle. Not one single vehicle got through. Also, some vehicles clearly enter on yellow (or even on red) to turn left, even though the driver can easily see that he will be unable to proceed through the intersection before the signal goes red. A camera to catch such violations would be great.
pedestrian signal is mistimed in both directions. very short period for walking followed by 30+ seconds of don't walk BEFORE light on Atwater turns green; this is a major pedestrian crossing and pedestrian is strongly incentivized to ignore don't walk signal rather than waste time standing at corner
