Left turn arrow from northbound College Mall Road onto westbound 2nd St. was not working at 5:35 PM on Monday August 13. Sat through four cycles of the light, and left turn arrow never came on. Due to heavy southbound traffic, only one car could turn left on cycle, during the yellow. Traffic was backed up in the northbound left lane of College Mall Road all the way back to Covenanter.
The left turn arrow for westbound Winslow Rd at South Walnut cycles green every time when there are no cars turning left. Don't believe the loops were reactivated after construction this summer.
The parking lot for the North Cascades Skatepark has several lights out. The lights do not belong to Duke Energy. Resident is concerned about poor lighting conditions as a safety risk.
At SR46 and 10th St. While a train is crossing SR46 I saw two disfunctional aspects of the signaling. 1) The pedestrian crossing requests are totally ignored while the train is crossing SR46. Pedestrian signals stayed red until the train had finished crossing SR46. 2) Eastbound 10th never was given a green signal while the train was crossing SR46. There is no reason that this direction should be kept from crossing and several cars ended up crossing against a red light during the green signal for westbound 10th.
We were traveling east on 10th St. this evening, approaching the bypass on the east side. While waiting for the red light to change to green, the train gate on the bypass lowered and a train approached also from the east. When a train is crossing the bypass, the light rightly does not allow traffic through from the north, as it would soon have nowhere to go. This is good. BUT it also did not allow our lane to travel through the intersection going east! I know there is no separate right-turn signal there to stop people from turning south onto the bypass, but it is not logical to stop all traffic going east as well. And besides, the light DOES allow westbound traffic on 10th Street to BOTH continue west AND turn south onto the bypass -- even though there is a separate signal there for the south-turn lane -- and those cars then are stopped by the crossing gate. This is really illogical, and should be remedied.
the traffic signal at the corner of college mall road and covenanter is in need of fixing. the pedestrian cycle engages all the time without any edestrians-- in both directions.
The current congestion on W Bloomfield Rd., west of Highway 37, seems to be caused in part by the timing of traffic signal here (the intersection of W. Bloomfield Rd., S. Basswood Dr., and S. Oakdale Dr.), Almost all the traffic here is east-west on Bloomfield Rd. There is very little traffic on Basswood Dr. or Oakdale Dr. But the but the traffic signal stays green for a very long time for the south traffic on Basswood Dr. and the north traffic on Oakdale Dr. I think the congestion of Bloomfield Rd. would be alleviated somewhat if the traffic signal at this intersection were reset so that it stayed green longer for the ease-west Bloomfield Rd. traffic. College mall road and covenanter drive. Light flashing red.,signal not working
The timing of the light at college mall rd and E 3rdst is such that persons traveling east on 3rd st can’t make it through the light because the traffic turning left onto south college mall rd blocks the intersection. I waited through more than 5 lights tonight.
When headed west on Covenanter over college mall, the left turn green arrow is very faint and almost impossible to see in the daytime
