Ped button on SE corner of intersection to cross Tenth doesn't work. Forces peds to cross on a red hand.
Signal at 10th and Union skips the cycle for southbound traffic intermittently. Reported on behalf of IU Campus Bus Service.
Pedestrian signal at 10 & Union has at least two non functional buttons.
On the east side of the roundabout at Rogers Rd. and Sare Rd there are several white reflector poles (about 3 ft tall) lying on the side of the road. It looks like they were knocked down, and they've been lying there for several weeks.
At the intersection of Kingston Drive and 3rd street, the walk signal for crossing 3rd street on the east side of Kingston (for example, from K-mart to Marsh) is malfunctioning. No matter how many times I push the "walk" button, the signal does not show "walk," and it makes this crossing perilous.
Traffic light at 10th and Union gives Union Street 50 seconds of green light time when it always has lighter traffic loads than Tenth Street. 10th Street East and West receives 20 seconds of green light time....opposite setup compared to what street car volumes are. Light needs to be the opposite timing of what it is currently
South facing "WALK" light is out
Traffic signal for eastbound traffic on 17th is hung up in the power/telecom overhead cables. Could damage the cables. Also makes it harder to see the light since its angled down.
HAWK crosswalk at 19th and Dunn continuously flashing red
The traffic signal at Woodlawn and 3rd requires pedestrians to push the beg button to get the walk light to cross 3rd. Maybe that's reasonable on the west side of the intersection, but the walk light should come on automatically on the east side of the intersection, because there is no conflict with turning traffic. It is a particular issue because pedestrians coming from the north can't see what phase the lights for car traffic are in. This lack of information for pedestrians often causes some unsafe behavior that could be avoided if they could just rely on the walk signal that faces them to accurately convey whether they are in an east-west phase of the light cycle or a north-south phase.
