on the side of the square that has the restaurants king-dough and the owlery, at the alley in the middle of the block, there is a constant little stream of water going out onto where pedestrians are walking on the sidewalk, so there's a leak somewhere. i have noticed this for several months, & with winter soon, it will freeze & be a hazard for slip&falls. thanks
During Sunday storm, water runoff on Madison Street between 6th & 7th flooded into my commercial space (212 N Madison). It climbed a foot up the exterior of the building and flooded comletely to the back of the building, jeopardizing thousands of dollars in equipment and stock. It appears that the sidewalk tips toward the building, and so that once the water crests over the sidewalk, it is pushed into our space. It seems to me that the issue with the sidewalk is the city's. Further, I wonder if there is anything that can be done to ensure the functioning of the sewer, which is the problem at the base of the flooding issue. I know two other spaces on that block also flooded. I don't have a photo, but can secure one from my landlord if needed. Many thanks for looking into this. Jane
at "auto glass" business at 2521 w 3rd st, this morning there was a large steady stream of water onto sidewalk even though it wasnt raining. so probably a broken pipe. please check on this or it will become a hazard for pedestrians when the temp crashes soon & it will freeze. thanks
Large pool of water at 908 S. Larkspur Lane, Bloomington. There is no drainage. (I could not choose location on your map because every time I try to zoom in it zooms all the way out to whole globe view. Hello, I live at 404 E 1st Street and walk to work at the university. Since it has been raining steadily for days, the leaves have moved into the street gutters and are blocking/clogging the gutters and grated drains all throughout this neighborhood. With the new 2023 leaf recycling law, most of the neighborhood did not rake and remove the leaves (my neighbor at 402 has the front yard filled with leaves, a rental unit) and the recent windy weather has blown the leaves everywhere and now the rain has moved them into the areas that I mentioned. This problem is causing excessive water to gather on my property. Please send out crews this week to clean up the leaf problem before there is a major flood in this neighborhood because the forecast is for another 10 days of rain. Thank you, ELIDA C. The water runoff from Sare Road travels down McCartney Lane to end in a very small drain that is not large enough to facilitate proper drainage. This photo was from yesterday‘s mild rain. At times the water is much deeper and standing longer because the drain is clogged. A larger drain needs to be installed or possibly an additional drain as well, further up the road. This may be leading to erosion of soil and possibly foundation issues and needs to be addressed soon. We are also due to have our road paved this year so the drainage would need to be fixed prior to that. Please advise.
Drainage ditch near the street in front of my residence has developed deep holes over the past several decades that I have attempted to fill continuously wash out. Could there possibly be in break in the water main? Thank you for looking into this matter.
