This is a tree plot / water meter pit issue, a follow up on #168554. The meter in question is at 514 S Fess. You all couldn't it because someone---safety-conscious resident maybe, or self-motivated meter reader apparently had filled the hole in with dirt and tamped it tight. So, yes, resolved
Could the City install a sidewalk along the west side of Dunn between Cottage Grove and 12th Street? There are also a couple sections in that stretch where there isn't even a sidewalk on the east side of the street, and a lot of people walk down that street even though it is only one-way.
With the announcement of the new park on 446/East Moore's, what are the citys plans to ensure safe and easy pedestrian and cycle access to the park? Currently, East Moores, 446, and Smith are not safe for either.
I was wondering if there can be a cross walk at this intersection. There is no good place to cross Third Street. I have taken my kids across this road many time and know that there are a lot of other people that cross here too. It would be helpful and create a safe/designated place to cross.
Many students have to jaywalk every day here to catch a bus, and 99% of drivers don’t understand the situation. If you do a quick search, you'll realize this has been an ongoing safety issue for 5–6 years. I’ve raised it before (last year and again this year), but nothing has changed. Please consider adding a sidewalk to improve safety. https://www.idsnews.com/article/2025/11/17th-street-crosswalk-crash-data-bloomington-indiana-university-campus-safety-news?utm_source=dailyheadlines&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=article-email-link
We received a request from a young woman living in Park Ridge East. She is concerned that there is no sidewalk on Sheffield Drive between Plymouth Road and Park Ridge Road as this is a path for children to walk to Park Ridge East Park. The bus picks up children in this area and they have no where to wait for the bus.
Sidewalk on NE corner of Dunn/11th has a sinkhole forming in it. It is not too large now, but it is dangerous and progressive. Not clear is this is a City issue or if the adjacent property owner is responsible for sidewalk upkeep.
