Both sides of the sidewalk on 17th street are being blocked off for fiber internet installation causing wheelchairs to have to walk in the road. A violation of the ADA and a safety risk for city residents in general.

None of the sidewalks (where they even exist) on 17th 18th and 19th street between Dunn and walnut have curb drops. In addition, the sidewalks are completely unkempt and in places unusable. As a wheelchair user who works at City Hall, this poses a major threat to my wellbeing when trying to walk to work or elsewhere in the community.

catalent refuses to make their parking lot safe for employees walking to and from their cars, especially those with mobility issues. There are no sidewalks, and because they do not provide enough parking for all employees during the day, people are driving around and around, looking for empty spaces instead of looking out for pedestrians. the more they have to drive, the more frustrated they get so the faster they go and less they pay attention.

from the bus stop on covenanter up towards kroger there's a step of steps with a handrail, in front of the opticians. the handrail is almost completely rusted through on one of the uprights and will give way if someone needs to put any weight on it while going up these steps

Massive piles of trash are blocking the sidewalk as of 8:45pm on Wednesday May 10. Piles are in front of 424 E. 6th Street and 426 E. 6th Street. Hopefully it is trash night and it won't be there in the morning.

The issue is with this website/reporting system itself, not the courthouse.
There needs to be a nonverbal method of reporting certain things - not the least of which being noise complaints. I lost my voice to cancer years ago, but I did not lose my hearing. I have a particularly loud set of neighbors, and I have been unable to do anything about them because I cannot call to make a complaint. I have seen other noise complaints on this website, and while their circumstances may not be the same as mine, it's clear there is a need for a nonverbal reporting method for noise complaints (as well as other similar non-emergent type issues).
Thanks in advance,
Mary

downtown on the square, in front of the "tap" nightclub (across from chase bank), today i noticed that there isn't enough room between a bike at a bike rack there and the outdoor enclosure for tables at the tap. there might be enough room for a regular wheelchair to get thru, but not a large wheelchair. and i am referring to someone who would be passing by there (not going to the tap). even though i am not in a wheelchair, that's what it looks like, so someone might want to measure the area there for a.d.a. compliance, please. thanks

My friend, who uses a wheelchair for mobility, and I went to the Office Lounge on Saturday night. While the building is accessible the bathrooms are not. The door was not wide enough for him to enter and he has a small manual chair. A larger motorized wheelchair would not fit either. The manager apologized and offered to clear the women's bathroom, but he had already looked at the door and determined it was not wide enough either. Besides that, I don't think offering another genders bathroom would count as accessibility?
I know the OL has been around a long time and I assume there is some grandfathering of pre-accessibility guidelines, but at some point don't they have to come "up to code"? Is that only if they do renovations? How long can they remain un-accessible? I hope there is someone who can address this issue because we would like to be able to visit the OL again, but will not if he can't use the restroom while there.
Thank you for your help!

Hello,
I am not sure if I am in the right place or not, but we just moved to a new edition called Charlestowne Manor. A plumber on our road was found unresponsive in his car and is still unresponsive. The dispatchers did not know where we were because Triple Crown Drive is NOT on the map. If the dispatchers had known where we were located (the Ellettsville Fire Station is LITERALLY across the street and the guys could have ran there faster than they got there) the guy might have a better chance of survival.
How do we get on the map?
