City street sign reading "NO TRUCKS" was torn down overnight and is now by the limestone planter at the corner of 2nd St & Walnut St.
The north-south light at High St and Moores Pike only is green for a couple of seconds, allowing at most two cars to pass through the intersection. Is it possible to adjust the timing on this light?
Light is on timer. Turns red when no one is there and backs up traffic on Bloomfield rd. During rush hours especially bad. Why isn’t it on a trip system
Could we have increased signage at Atwater and Fess indicating that cross traffic does not stop? This additional sign could be affixed to each of the current stop signs. This location is particularly prone to near-misses as the parking garage invites visitors into town who don't necessarily realize that Atwater is a major East artery for the town.
A stop sign at Allendale and Westminster (for cars going east on Allendale--sign is on south side of road)is constantly being ignored by folks driving on Allendale. Is foliage blocking the sign maybe? We need some traffic calming measures before someone gets injured by a car not stopping.
On Jackson between 13th & 15th, speed limit sign blocked by a tree
The reflective signs designating the runoff/curb/flower boxes on Allen Street are white. They completely disappear in the snow. Several cars have driven into and over the curbs. Large yellow/green/red signs are needed to make these less hazardous.
The markings on Atwater do not make it clear AT ALL where cars can/should park and where there is a turning lane. While some parking spots are marked with signage, the lines on the street seem to indicate that it's a turn lane. Today (1/24) at approximately 2:15PM there were cars parked in some areas that seem to be marked parking spots, but cars were also parked well past that area, including the one marked with a circle that was parked all the way at the corner. This area desperately needs clearer signage and road markings. The signs don't make it clear where parking stops, the street markings seem to indicate that the turn lane starts at an area that has parking, and the curb markings indicate that you could park up to the corner.
The IU Health LifeLine ambulance service has relocated a couple ambulance to the area. If possible, was seeing about signs on W 1st Street to the East and the West of the intersection to alert vehicles that Emergency Vehicles may be approaching.
