went downtown to shop for the holidays. Was late to the meter by 5 minutes. got a $20 ticket. Goodbye downtown. Hello amazon. Cheaper, easier, and they don't give these outrageous fines. Thought you might want to know. I am sending a letter to the Book Corner, and another to Goods for Cooks, to let them know they will never see me again. Not a great idea on your part, if you asked me. For the sake of downtown and these businesses, I hope I am wrong. But I doubt it.

Citation # Q1500545: I put my credit card into the wrong meter (chose the one facing my parking slot) & didn't realize I had to use Meter/Space Number 102B (because it was facing the other way). When I came out of Samira Restaurant, I still had 16' of unexpired time (in the "wrong" meter). I hope you will understand that I actually did pay for my parking space. Thank you

This request is for one additional No Parking sign on Union Street, just north of 7th Street. Bloomington Municipal Code 15.32.080 describes a No Parking zone on the west side of Union Street spanning from 7th to 175 feet north of 7th St. Currently this area has a yellow painted curb; however, when there is snow, the curbs are covered. I have spoken with Parking, who states they are unable to ticket when the yellow curbs are covered. I am asking that you please erect one (or more) No Parking sign to cover this particular No Parking zone. When vehicles park in this region, it makes it very difficult for vehicle to see traffic approaching from the north when turning from the west part of 7th onto Union St. I live on the SE corner of 7th & Union and often hear cars honking due to near-collisions—presumably due to poor visibility. I also drive a transit bus for IU; even in the bus, it is very difficult to see traffic approaching from the north. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding my inquiry. Again, this is already a codified no parking zone with yellow curb paint; I'm just asking that a No Parking sign be erected so that it remains enforceable when snow obscures curbs.

Parking Violations 814 South Eastside Drive. Every day the illegal number of tenants at 814 S. Eastside Drive block my father's (a senior citizen) ability to get out of his driveway because they are violating parking ordinances (Parking in the street -and extending out of driveways). The house at 621 West 6th Street has tiny no parking signs in their yard along Fairview Street. Is this an actual no parking zone? If so, these do not look like legitimate no parking signs.

I am hoping that i can be credited for my lack of action manually deactivating my parking session. I love the app and convenience of using the app for parking. However, the new pricing model requiring a stop action tripped me up...and I think it is more difficult and not as user friendly. Sat. morning I woke up to see the outline of an RV in the alley. When I went to take the photo, there was another car behind it, which subsequently moved. I was told by my neighbor that the RV had arrived Fri. night. As I was taking a photo, the owner came out and I informed him that he should move his car because it was in the public alley. He looked at me like I was insane, and then asked why. I also said he was parked next to my fence, where there is a large sign that says "No Trespassing," put up on the advice of Officer Dilts of the BPD. He then proceeded to spit out his toothpaste and water from his mouth onto the green area near the fence under the aforementioned sign. I do not know whether this green area is my property or the public alley, which is one reason we have been requesting that the City demarcate the public alley. I was also appalled by the nastiness. he remained parked in the alley until Sunday afternoon. I am asking for relief from the nonstop use of the public alley as the private backyard of this illegal frat (see Planning for their "Cease to function as a frat" NOV, which was sent twice to them with a final date of "by October 10, 2017." As is obvious from all the various Ureports I have written, most of their illegal parking occurs when no one is available at Parking. And when someone does come, the cars are not ticketed. I believe that only fines will discourage this constant viavai of cars and RVs. In addition to the fear that my fence would be damaged, the RV was hooked up to the house so that there was a motor/generator? going constantly and making constant noise. I am asking for you to come up with a solution to the private use of this public alley - a No Parking sign with towing and ticketing promised, or to vacate the alley so that the illegal frat can have their half to use as they please and we the homeowners at 1003 and 1005 E. Hunter may have our half to use as we please.
