Hi there, I live in an apartment complex in Elm Heights and have a question regarding the street parking on south side of 2nd street between Henderson and Fess where the Elm Heights Bloomingfoods used to be. Currently, the signs state that the parking is 2 hours, which made sense when the building was in use. However, neighborhood parking on the surrounding streets is pretty tight during the majority of weekdays when IU is in session. Unfortunately, there have been times when I have had to make use of these 2 hour spots due to the lack of availability of street parking near my dwelling and have been subsequently ticketed. Is there any specific reason why these spots are still being enforced with a 2 hour limit even though Bloomingfoods went out of business? Is there any way the 2 hour limit could be removed for those that display a neighborhood zone permits until a new tenant is found for the building? I understand that I am responsible for the fees incurred by my violation for this current 2 hour policy, but fail to understand why it is being maintained so aggressively given the fact that the reason for implementing the 2 hour street parking (accessibility for Bloomingfoods customers) is no longer valid. This has nothing to do with positive feedback. I received an overdue parking citation issued in 2011 to a license plate number. I was just issued this license plate # in May of 2013. The Dept of Motor Vehicles records will verify this. I want my name and this $40 due for an overdue parking citation removed from my name and records. Thank you. Go back to 2011 and find out who that license was issued to and seek payment from them.

Neighbor repeatedly parks in alley, blocking safe flow of traffic (1st alley between Wylie and Dodds, off Rogers) Repeatedly asked not to block alley, but continues to do so.

I parked on 6th St near Dunn St and put money in meter. Turns out meter was not working yet. Why doesn't city government inform the public as to status of use of new meters. The entire meter process has been a circus.

17th and Jackson. U-haul buisines is creating a traffic hazard by parking their trucks poorly. They have reduced roadway to one lane right outside of parking lot for pre school, and made visibility leaving parking lot low. They are also using a great deal of residential parking.

Where is our Parking Enforcement Officer? Day in, day out there are still cars parked on the street in the 600 and 700 block of S Eastside Drive, that seem not to have a valid residential neighborhood parking permit or visitor tag displayed: the white Volvo, the grey Toyota Sienna and the red Ford truck (which should not be parked on the street anyway because it is too long).
