What is going on at the City owned property on S. Walnut Street by the public safety training center that large equipment is running at 8:47pm? Last night they were going after 9pm. Why is the City operating heavy equipment at these late hours?
Just wanted to state support for Bloomington's annexation efforts. If someone agreed to be annexed in the future as a condition of that property sale, that should be upheld. And donut holes of non-City property help no one. Bloomington needs to continue to grow and prosper in those areas where it makes sense. Keep at it. Though please don't push for additional zones until services such as sewer are ready to be extended after the map firms up with current target areas.
Can something be done about the greenway along the front of Auto Heaven? Glass and trash all over the road and people living in the cars along to sides. It would be hazardous to bike or walk with your pet through this stretch of road.
Went for a walk with my partner and pup, ended up using my shirt as a compress for a dying man. Sorry for the smart comment, but maybe it’s time to figure out how to tackle the balance of compassionate treatment of the transient population with public safety. My girlfriend will be processing the trauma for days and Howe St has become a thoroughfare.
We have people living in tents on CITY property on the southwest corner of Rogers and 11th St. We have over 10 female employees working for us at 611 W 11th Street. We would hate for any of them to have ANY issues with people living on CITY property. Please help these people to relocate to a place where they may receive the services Bloomington may provide. Re case #205719 the full inquiry was not addressed. This is still being advertised as an event venue. This is ongoing in a neighborhood not zoned for this. How is this particular property and individual allowed to do this? Will all residents in any zoning district then be allowed to operate any business they would like despite zoning regulations?
More uncapped needles on the playground. Trash everywhere. Restrooms a mess with needles. Please do something! More patrols, anything. It's getting out of hand, and making the neighborhood feel unsafe.
Behind the Bloomington Antique Mall on the B-Line Trail an old homeless lady loudly screams for hours. She sits on a bench on the trail and screams almost every single day, various times of the day. She will scream at pedestrians on the trail.
Abandoned truck and there are used needles on the lot from the homeless. We will get it cleaned up but will the city reimburse us??
There is a man living in a tent in the side yard. He has been there for weeks.
