500 S Eastside Drive has had trash out on the street since last Sunday. It was not collected because of whatever reason the city put on the notice sheet. It is drawing flies and other vermin. There is also a huge mound of trash by the front door.
I would like to request a Caution Children at Play sign and/or speed limit signage for my street. I live on Owens Drive on the west side near the movie theater. We have a lot of traffic go through our neighborhood that miss their turn into the movie theater. There are many that drive as fast as they can around our circle--Wynnedale and Owens Drive--to make it back to the stoplight. There are children in the neighborhood and it creates an unsafe situation with the drivers who are choosing their own speed. Thank you for the consideration! Misty Crouch
Trash and broken chairs scattered around yard at 321 N. Washington Street.
The construction at the corner of 11th and Walnut of the new apartment building has left this area of Walnut hazardous and capable in inflicting vehicle damage even when travelling slowing, especially the utility cut across Walnut which has not been filled in to be even with the road surface. This is the same type of problem that existed at 11th and Rogers but is horizontal across the street instead of diagonal across the intersection. The problem at 11th was fixed but this one needs attention ASAP to prevent damage to vehicles and subsequent claims to the city for that damage. There are also breaks and holes and bumps in the pavement at the crest and going down the other side towards 12th street and so on. I am not requesting a sidewalk, only that the city finish a sidewalk project it started a long time ago. Three years ago the city installed a new sidewalk on the south west quadrant of Kinser Pike and the 46/45 Bypass. A black fabric erosion barrier was installed and never removed. This eyesore has been in place since the completion of the project. The State of Indiana is unable to mow this area because of the obstruction. It would be nice if the city would remove this so it can once again be mowed. According to the city this area is part of the "scenic gateway corridor" to Bloomington. Garbage attracting rats; garbage strewn in front yard (1200 N. Woodlawn Ave.) Garbage strewn in back and side yards (1257 N. Woodlawn). Please start policing these areas regularly they are constant offenders
Three wks ago I reported to HAND trash all around Elkins Apts. Problem still not resolved: blowing party trash, beer cans, etc. in front; blowing trash from trash receptacles in back, around parking lots. A real neighborhood eyesore.

There are several sidewalk cuts along Washington Street in front of the AT&T building that are covered with smooth metal pieces. These metal covers provide absolutely no traction when wet and are very dangerous for pedestrians. Can these please be replaced with the more common covers that have raised ridges to provide some traction?
