Follow up on uReport Case #158991: In spring of 2017 I filed a report with the city about the downspout drainage from my neighbor's property (2802 S Forrester), which dispenses rainwater directly onto the sidewalk in front of my house. They were issued a notice by the city, and they cut back the relevant downspout as indicated in the resolution of the ticket. However, thereafter they built a masonry channel from the end of the downspout that continues to direct the rainwater from the downspout onto the sidewalk in front of my property. When it rains moderately or heavily, the sidewalk on my property turns into a river, still, and in the seasonal transition to and from winter, the sidewalk winds up coated with ice. They masonry channel is topped with a plywood cover that is disguised with landscape rocks. I wanted to talk with them about this directly rather than file a report, but for 3 weeks I have not seen them at their house. Their house is reportedly under contract for sale, and I think it only fair that this issue be resolved (ideally by extending the drainage under the sidewalk to the curb so it no longer causes a negative impact on my property) before they sell it, so that new owners do not have to correct something they are not responsible for. The sidewalk on Stands Drive (Eastside of 3401 S. Ashwood Drive) is in terrible shape (crumbled gravel). The problem exits on S. Ashwood on the north side of the property. We reported the condition of sidewalk over ten years ago. Really.

Hi, I'd like to report a sewer problem. There is a steady stream of water flowing out of a manhole. It leaks across the sidewalk and then onto Rogers where it flows into the storm sewer drain. It's on the northeast corner at the intersection of South Rogers and Coolidge. I just wanted to alert the utilities department about the issue. Thanks.

Can't zone in on the location. It's the north-south alley running from Atwater to Hunter, just east of the Subway on Atwater, right before 914 Atwater, about halfway down. Where the pavement turns to gravel, there is a bad drop-off that could do real damage if a driver didn't see it (under snow or in the dark).

Large pothole has developed right next to sidewalk. It's making parking very difficult: it's a good 3-4 inches deep (several layers of road surface have some away) and about 5 square feet around.

This area needs a street drain. Every time it rains water pools at this corner making it difficult for people walking down the sidewalk to cross the street. During the winter, this turns into a block of ice making it very dangerous for people crossing the street. Children in this neighborhood walk to Child's Elementary School and have to jump over the puddle of water when it's warm and try not to fall on the block of ice that form here during the winter. Please install a street drain in this location. Thank you.

407 S Grant St.: there is a serious and dangerous condition along Grant St. between Smith and 2nd streets. You crews have left 3ft trenches along a poured sidewalk. I've personally seen 3 cars fall into these trenches and receive damage. Your signage is insufficient. Please remedy this situation now or residents being hampered by this nuisance will be forced to take legal action against the city. This report will serve as notice that you are aware of the hazard you have created by failing to fix the road in a timely manner.

Pothole is in the road near our mailbox. There has been some confusion this year about whether Bloomington is responsible for maintaining the road area in Winslow Farm that circles the islands. We got no snow removal during the snowfall after the first of the year. We have lived in our house since 2015, and the City has always plowed it in winter and filled holes.
