My neighbors at 2705 S. Olcott Blvd let out their two dogs to roam their front yard 3 or 4 times per day. I walk my dogs, as do my neighbors who have dogs. With the animals in the front yard, without leashes, it means those walking have to cross the street to avoid the dogs. This is not a problem, except at night. I watch out for the dogs, in order to avoid them, but lately the dogs are let out their front door just as I get the middle of their yard and the dogs come racing at me and my dog, barking and frightening. Besides, the issue of taking over that side of the street, these dogs bark the entire time they're outside, seems anything or anyone can set them off. This can be at 10:00pm and go on. I don't know what to do, because they are not friendly. I need your advice as to how to deal with this neighborhood problem. Thank you for whatever help you can give me.

Good afternoon, I am writing to report an issue with water drainage coming from the roofs of houses and dumping on to the sidewalk. Along N. Indiana Ave, many houses/apartments (owned by Elkins Apartments) have drainage downspouts that empty directly on to the sidewalk. This creates a hazard with constant freeze and thew during the winter months. I have personally felt unsafe walking down a sloped sidewalk, on what is pure ice during periods this winter. Indiana Ave. is a very high foot traffic area during winter months as fans walk to and from basketball games. From witnessing several people slip and fall on the ice, I feel like it is my duty as a citizen to report this issue to the city. Though we have been blessed this season with relatively mild temperatures, this does not overshadow the safety hazard created from the downspouts off many of these houses. This problem would ideally need to be handled quickly before the next cold spell of weather. Thank you. Best regards

Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. Samantha is already complaining on public forums (I.e. HT) about the proposed annexation and her house has been under assessed once it was built. Her basement is completely finished with a full kitchen, full bathroom, two bedrooms, two living rooms and a fireplace. You want to gain resident confidence and support; start by eliminating these large discrepancies by "locals" with connections in the real estate industry and with local officials.

I'm not sure if this would be a City of Bloomington issue or not, but I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. My wife and I moved into the house at 322 E. 1st St. last July and since we've moved here there has been an utility wire hanging down from the pole roped up on our fence behind our garage (the yellow one). There's also what appears to be a separate coax cable hanging from the pole on the roof of our garage. Our home was not wired for cable when we bought it so I assume it might be the previous line. We are hoping to beautify and clean up our backyard this spring and we'd like to get these wires taken care of. I assume they aren't hot, but I obviously don't want to test my theory. Who should we get a hold of to get this taken care of? Is there a way to tell who owns and is responsible for things dangling off this utility pole? Thanks, -James

The roadway has been built up quite a bit in front of our house at 2006 S Sussex, resulting in a significant dip between the street and our driveway. This is causing the bottom of the cars to scrape when entering and exiting. Surrounding houses have had blacktop poured into this area to level out the connection. Could we have that done too please?

There is trash littering the yard of the house on the west side of mine. This has been there for quite a while, several months perhaps. It has been blowing over onto my property. A large plastic bag from this mess has just recently lodged high up into one of my trees. I have no idea how I'm going to get it down. Can the city ask the property owner to have this trash cleaned up? This is a rental property so the owner doesn't live there. The address of this property is 604 E Moody Dr. Thanks.

Greetings, The section of E Rhorer Rd between S Walnut Street Pike and S Sare Rd is full of potholes specially on one side of the road, and couple of them are deep. These have proven to be difficult to avoid as some of them are on top of a hill where you can't see the incoming traffic and it's unsafe to go over the lines to the opposite lane. These have been there for over a month now, and as I drive there everyday, I am afraid this may damage my car if these weren't fixed. Thanks.
