Wanted to see if the parks and rec department could come take a look at the Beech tree on the north side of Maxwell (marker used above). Several really large dead branches that are dangerously falling in a piecemeal way. The overall health of the tree is in steady decline, and it may be easier for the city to remove it now before it is completely rotten. Thanks!
The bike path along Sare Road south of the intersection with Olcott is rapidly deteriorating due to continuous water flow over the path that washes dirt, branches and rocks onto the path. Something needs to be done to divert this water away from the path. In the winter the water freezes, leaving the path coated with a sheet of ice. Very dangerous for bikes and pedestrians.
The water fountain at third street park is not draining. Also, some of the railings around the decorative fountain are loose at their bases.
On August 21st, I reported a homeless camp at Wapehani Park. It was examined and reported back to me that the camp was on private property. I found this quite strange, because it is on a trail that has a difficulty marker at the beginning of the trail. It totally looks like the other trails in the park and there's absolutely no way to tell it's private property. At any rate, the homeless people have moved on and have left a large amount of trash in what I believe is the park. There are probably 15+ large bags worth of trash - clothes, books, pans, papers, etc. My original report was 165599. I really hope someone will look, because I really don't think what I'm describing is on private property. Thanks for your consideration!
Latimer woods trail has a tree dropping dangerously large limbs onto the trail. Taking the trail clockwise, the tree is on the left just past the footbridge.
Vehicle blockers broken on Ralston b-line spur on Ralston at both Madison and Bryan streets. Also there is still ice and snow on the b-line spur in the same location.
There are two very large and deep muddy puddles in the large dog park area at Switchyard. One is located by the large tree in the center of the park, and the other is located by the sitting area under the green awning. My dog recently got into the muddy water, ate and drank it, and became severely sick for several days. After speaking with several dog owners at the park, this has happened with their dogs too, so it is definitely a health hazard. It is very difficult to keep the dogs away from these areas. This does not seem to be a problem just after rainfall, but most of the time. I ask that they be filled with gravel or fenced off to allow for regrowth and to keep dogs away in the meantime. The shrubbery along the west side of the trail around the Winslow sports complex needs to be pruned back especially in the area near the wooden bridge. It's growing halfway across the trail. The shrubbery near the south east corner of the trail might also benefit from some pruning.

At East Thornton Drive and Covey Lane, there are several big old trees whose branches overhang Covey Lane, and the big branches are rotten and some have already fallen, but the limbs that hang over Covey Lane are dangerous to pedestrians walking their dogs and cars using Covey Lane. Can you please look into this and have the limbs and/or tree cut so that no one will get hurt or property damaged by falling limbs. Every time a hard rain comes or storm with light wind come, large limbs fall onto Covey Lane. Thank you.
