In light of a lot of recent attempted home invasion activity along this block, having street lights in the alley between 10th and Cottage Grove is a necessary safety measure. It is incredibly dark in the alley and a perfect target for home invasions.

The alley behind our house does not have any lights in it at all. Not only does this make it a bit unnerving and dangerous to walk there at night, but it also makes it a very easy target for unwanted visitors. Last night, one of our bedroom windows was broken in and when we looked out back, we were not able to see anybody running away since there are no lights in the alley way. By adding a few lights to the already existing utility poles in the alley way, it would hopefully prevent similar incidents from happening in the future and make it much safer for all of the residents that use this alley on a daily basis.

The back of our house was broken into a couple of nights ago (all doors locked and while we were all home) and we feel as though if the back alley was more lit up it may have deterred the suspect from approaching our home. There was also a very similar situation of an attempted break in last week two houses down from ours. It is extremely dark in the alley, especially with the wooded area being back there - perfect for people to hide in. We would feel a lot safer if lights could be installed asap. Thank you.

There are several street lights in the vicinity of the Baptist Church (maybe the name has changed) which is near the intersection of Woodscrest and 3rd Street that are not working. Could 3rd street in that area be driven at night to take a total tally of the lights that are out between High Street and College Mall Road? Hello, At 7:30am, someone began jack-hammering the sidewalk immediately outside my apartment window at 222 N College Ave. There are several apartments facing that sidewalk at this location, and it is directly across the street from the Hilton Hotel. In other words, since many people may be trying to sleep in this area, it seems a bit unreasonable to start something so loud before 8am. Thanks for your attention to this matter. The street light at this corner (Cascade Dr and Clover Terr) appears to be filled with something about 3/4 of the way in the globe, I don't know if this presents a fire hazard but it does reduce the amount of light output. Thanks for your help!

I couldn't find the location in uReport to report the need for some additional street lights, so I am pointing out the real need here. The area is on 11th street between Rogers and Walnut. This area has recently seen large scale apartment development and there is simply not enough light to make this part of 11th street safe. I would suggest the type of shorter lights that are used around the square in front of businesses on the square would be both attractive and effective. Please feel free to email me if I should report this to another dept. I do think it needs to be attended to as soon as practical before the dark of winter sets in. It would be terrible if another resident was kidnapped due to a lack of light.
