There is a large pothole near the intersection of S Dunn and E Smith. Since people street park it is almost impossible to drive on that street without going through it.
street light @ corner of E Hunter and S Woodlawn is broken. turns on and off, flickering, dim when on; intervals of about 2 min. unsafe and annoying.
The street light in front of my neighbors house in front of 422 E University is intermittent. It turns itself off at random times and then comes back on a few minutes later. This problem has persisted for several months. I tried reporting this online to Duke Energy, but their online tool doesn't show a street light on this block, so I'm hoping you can find out who takes care of this light and forward the information to the appropriate people. Pothole on Ballantine Road between Atwater & E. 3rd St., on East side of road.
Can't zone in on the location. It's the north-south alley running from Atwater to Hunter, just east of the Subway on Atwater, right before 914 Atwater, about halfway down. Where the pavement turns to gravel, there is a bad drop-off that could do real damage if a driver didn't see it (under snow or in the dark).
Prior to the road construction,there were arrows indicating that the left lane was a left turn only lane. The right lane is the one to go straight through to Jordan Avenue. Now that the arrow is no longer there, people in the left only lane are also driving straight through Jordan Ave causing mutilple close call accidents. Why is the left lane arrow missing on the pavement?
The block between Atwater and Third Street on Jordan is in horrible shape. When will this be paved? Cars are swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid the potholes and rough surface. Thanks for all you do!
I often bike north on Jordan avenue to 3rd St., then turn left onto 3rd with the traffic light. Before the recent construction, the left turn signal appeared to be on a timer, and now it seems to be activated by a metal-sensitive loop in the pavement. But so far I have been unable to trigger the left turn signal with my bicycle. I have been instructed to ride exactly on the wire, and I ride a steel frame bike from 1970, so it should have plenty of metal to be detected. Is there some way to make sure this traffic light actuator is sensitive enough to work for bicyclists as well as for cars?
