The intersection on the 46 bypass where stonelake rd and monroe street cross. The entrance to Arlington heights elementary. This is such a crazy dangerous intersection. I have seen so many close calls and have been in several of them my self while trying to get in and out from taking my kids to school. It scares me! Traffic has definitely picked up over the last year with all of the construction and other access roads to 37 being closed due to 69. I feel a stoplight would be extremely beneficial at this location. Maybe remove the bumps in the Middle Lane (that desperately needs cleaned up because it is full of trash and looks horrendous) and then it can be used as that extra turn lane like it is used down the road in ellettsville. Just a couple suggestions but I really think for the safety of the school children and everyone else something needs done here. Thank you for your time!!

Extremely dangerous intersection for all transportation types. Even without the current roadwork on this corner, there are close calls every single day. This needs a light or diversion of pedestrians.

This is following up on a previous complaint. I am using a separate filing because I could not figure out how to reply to the last one. The traffic patterns at the intersection of 10th and Range Rd facilitate dangerous maneuvers by motorists, which put at risk other motorists and pedestrians. There are two lane options on 10th going east and west: right turn only or straight/left turn only. The light is only indicates 'Go' and there are no arrow lights. When a motorist wants to turn left coming from either direction on 10th, it blocks all straight bound traffic. Right turns are much rarer at this intersection, so the right turn only lane is completely open. Some motorists choose to use this lane to go straight through the intersection and blow through nearly hitting turning vehicles that are patiently waiting their turn to go. Backed up traffic creates a blind spot for the left turning vehicle and they often do not see the oncoming vehicle attempting to go straight in the right only lane. Every day there are close encounters. To make matters more difficult, the bus stop is immediately adjacent to this intersection on both sides of 10th, causing even more close encounters. This is a high traffic intersection at all times of the day, but particularly in the morning and evening during rush hours.

There need to be more signs in the direction opposite one-way traffic that indicate "Wrong Way" or "No entry" for streets perpendicular to 6th Street. Too many people have been driving the wrong way down 6th Street and it is really dangerous. If a person is unfamiliar with the area, there is limited signage that indicates they are driving the wrong way down 6th until they come in contact with another car.

The E Southdowns Drive sign is missing where the street intersects with High Street. Also, the street signs at the intersection of E Southdowns Dr and Circle Dr are missing.

A street sign was recently installed at E Thornton Dr & S Henderson St (on the southside of town), and it is missing again. I'm not sure if the recent high winds may have blown the sign off, or what happened. Also, the street sign at E North Dr & S Henderson St (by South High School) is reversed. Poor visibility of the "do not enter" signs where 11th st becomes one way have created a situation where multiple cars a day continue the wrong way onto eleventh. The signs are faded, and they are placed too far back over the crest of the hill. They're also partially blocked by fencing from construction. Many drivers don't realize they are going the wrong way, then continue through the intersection of 11th and Woodlawn, and through the intersection of 11th and Park traveling the wrong way. It's especially dangerous because people traveling on Woodlawn or Park don't have stop signs and won't expect drivers to come from the wrong direction.
